Bad ass knife

I hasetated in buying one but it got the better of me and man did it surprised me! I own the smaller ones but this is a beast! The handle is just great to work with the knife and the blade is just great and make's you wanna go out and take one a boar! It balance is just wright and it's razor sharp. This is an all-arounder, camping, tactical.. it can handle it! This one stay's on my side! The only downpoint is the sheath in my opinion so I am getting one made with more carrying options,I like mine horizontal one the back! I can't wait until it's time for the outdoors and I am sure it will perform great making tinder and the notch on the back will spark anny ferrorod and battoning and making holes for parracord isn't a problem to with that sharp but thick point. Anyway it's your loss if you don't have one! Just buy one and you will know what I mean. Enjoy your holidays!

Sog Super Bowie!

I just got the sog super Bowie! Its amazingly beautiful tough like a beast! At The same Time handles all tasks brilliantly! Large thick Blade nice handle sharpness excellent craftmanship! 10/10! Kind regards finnish buschcraft Guy in Sweden

This is a beautiful and functional knife, sharp, durable and reliable. I think 7.5" is the perfect size for a combat knife and this is definetly a beast of one, and its also the one of the coolest knives i have ever seen and my favorite of what i own. I didnt have mine very long until it got stolen and i replaced it later but this is the one knife i wouldnt want to be without. The only complaint is that the sheath is a bit cheap, it seems like fake leather and creaks a little too, it seems to be a common problem of most good knives to have cheap sheaths, but overall the knife is excellent.

Favorite Knife!!

This is my favorite knife and I wished I would have bought 2, so I did! I purchased my first knife direct from SOG and my second one from here! The only thing I am not of fan of is the sheath. I bought a Spec.-Ops. Brand Combat Master Knife Sheath 8-inch Blade (Long) for this knife and it is perfect combination. Just buy it!! I promise you won’t regret it!!

Super Bowie - True to MACV - SOG original

Knife is very well constructed, very sharp right out of the box. Leather grip is very smoothly made and black finish is consistent over the entire blade. The knife has good weight/balance and should stand up to bush craft use with no problem. When handled gives impression of excellent overall quality. There was one minor problem however. The hilt was loose as there was a fine gap between the blade and the hilt. My local gunsmith was able to install a fine shim into the gap and seal with acrylic. Hilt is now solidly in place.

Beautiful Monster

I bought myself one of these sometime back as a collector's piece. It is waaaaay to nice to use. The thing is huge, heavy and razor sharp. The sheath is fantastic as well. The overall fit and finish is superb and this knife is well worth whatever you end up paying for it. My only regret is that I didn't buy two... One to put away and polish every so often and the other to beat the hell out of when camping. I think it's a 1/4 thick steel so it is pretty heavy to hold. It would chop well, I'm sure. Anyone who sees this knife in my collection is immediately drawn to it, even if they don't appreciate knives. There's just something about it's size and look that compels you to pick it up and feel it's heft. Can't say enough good things about it. As mentioned in another review, be very careful... this thing is literally razor sharp and can easily do serious damage.

SOGSuper Knife

If your a collector or not, this blade has it all, and for a affordable knife equal to custom knives you pay big bucks for and will never use. You,ll just show it off and admire it. Not me, I buy knives to use and this one has quality, a blood line to back it up. It,s quality made, sharp, with a quality sheath. It doesn't get any better then this for the price. There are goods deals out there for this knife. I got (3).

Damn scary! Sits within reach at night and goes with me on trips. You never know when you will require fight or flight, and in both cases, you need a bowie knife.

I bought my awesome, super wonderful SOG Super Bowie knife about a week ago, and I absolutely LOVE it! IT is one huge massive knife, not quite as long as the Top Of The SEAL Knife Line Tigershark Elite knife, but it is heavier and just looks intimidating as Hell! It also comes super razor surgery-type sharp, and is also super easy to sharp at that. And the massive blade does hold an awesome edge! When I unboxed the knife, I saw that it was packaged and boxed up professionally and with extreme care, which just shows the care that SOG puts into their knives! I bought it brand new and off of Ebay from an Ebayer, and when I got my Super Bowie knife I had become concerned with something; with the other SOG knives that I have, and even in the pics of their knives, SOG is usually written on all their knives, followed by their trademark split bullet pic that is usually after the G in SOG. Well, the Super Bowie that I had gotten does Not have the split bullet pic log, and this raised some questions as to whether this knife was real SOG or a counterfeit. I searched and searched, and I only saw a couple of online pics that showed the Super Bowie without the split bullet pic. Bit I was still not convinced. The Ebay seller assured me that it was a genuine SOG. Finally, after hrs and hrs, I found the correct page within the SOG site, and that page did indeed show the Super Bowie knife and the one they showed did Not indeed have the split bullet pic. I was glad to finally find out for sure that I indeed had what I paid for, a genuine SOG Super Bowie knife. Some of the older or newer Super Bowie knives by SOG might actually have the split bullet pic logo on them, but please do not be alarmed if you buy one and it doesn have the split bullet trademark pic on it! I highly recommend this awesome massive, Rambo-Eat_Your_Heart-Out knife, but I only recommend it to people 18 and older or to poeople under 18 that is accompanoied by ana dult each and every time they use the knife. This knife is extremely sharp and is definitely not a toy, and it should be handled and treated with extreme caution. Any carelessness handling from anyone could result in serious injury and even fatality! Please, for your own safety and safety of others, do not take this knife for granted or treat it like a toy! Nice knife, but for what purpose?

This is a beautiful knife. Not a flaw in the finish. The sheath is also well made, although the strap is very, very short, hard to close on the knife. The handle of the knife is huge, I have XL size hands and the handle still feels big. The knife came out of the box hair shaving sharp, a pleasant sign of quality manufacturing. This knife is shorter than a Cold Steel Trailmaster, but weighs the same. This might be a nice combination for some outdoors purposes. I bought this knife mostly out of curiosity, I do not see myself having much use for it. Still I do not have any regrets, I experience a warm feeling owning this knife. The Super Bowie beckons you to use it.

Quintessential Defensive Blade

Although the blade is AUS 8, it is expertly heat-treated with the perfect quench for AUS 8. The tip is tough enough for its intended purpose. It is not an elephant knife. The blade is a razor right out of the box. Aesthetically, she's a knockout. The handle is smooth, and not very grippy. The sheath is black leather with a nice fit including a wet stone for sharpening. I hold two martial arts black belts, and I would probably soil myself if I was starring down this beauty. If she completes her life saving mission one time, she was worth the cash. The sheath could be manufactured a little more versatile for carrying and deployment. The weight and balance are perfect for my medium hand. As a collector, I am most pleased. I received this knife as a gift allegedly purchased from Knife Center. I would easily replace it if it was lost, or stolen. She's both purposeful, and sexy. Perfect price point!
