Great every day knife

Needed a quick sharpening at the onset but it holds the edge nicely, Great size and weight for every day use. Great overall value.

great knife

I use it all the time. Love the one hand opening. The safety lock is a little awkward.

Blade Opens Easily ... Until it doesn't. Poor warranty coverage

Have had this knife for approx 3-4 years. The little torsion spring does well... until it doesn't, then SOG doesn't want to cover the repair. Recently, the torsion spring that assists in opening the blade became weak and wouldn't fully open the blade. After submitting an online warranty return request (what a joke that was), had to call customer service to be told that my knife was not covered due to "normal wear and tear"... and I can't buy the spring from them. So, now what, I have a poorly performing knife and no fix. I like the blade, I like the feel, but the design and craftsmanship of the assisted open is poor and, unfortunately, fails with time/use and SOG offers no reasonable customer support to fix it, despite a lifetime warranty... I was even willing to purchase a new spring (or two). In the end, the only offer I was given was a %-off from them to buy a new knife on their website. Really?! 0_o Why would I do that?! No thanks... I don't need a drawer full of expensive, non-working SOG knives.
