Awesome Tool
This is a knife that you need...not want but need. If you are one the actually uses a knife for what it's intended for and not just playing around with it. Then you are looking at a great working mans knife. When you first hold this knife you going to say to yourself...this feels like a toy. I assure you you're not. The CTS BD1 steel is awesome! Not sure why the other review said anything bad about it? I'll have to say mine came with the best edge on a knife I have ever seen or used. Hardly any grind marks at all. I've only had to strop this blade and it has become mirror smooth and just sharp as hell. I cut through tape (of all kinds), rope, raw hide, air hose, zip ties, card board and have even made scribe marks on metal. The feel of this knife in your hand will be a good strong purchase. It's not going anywhere. At 3oz you can even walk around the house in your underwear with this clip on and it's not going to pull them down. Other that the CNC machines I use at work...this knife is my favorite tool in the shop.

Disregard "anonymous" review!
Let me start off with the review from Anonymous, is completely the opposite of what I've got with this knife. He must have received a rare dud. This is my first Spyderco knife and I am extremely impressed thus far. This knife arrived hair shaving sharp...literally. I've been using it for a week now cutting cardboard/tape. Got bored at work and cut some rope and plastic ties. Still slices paper with no sharpening/honing. This BD1 steel is holding up much better than expected. Extremely lightweight, almost felt cheap at first but I've grown to love the texture. After 2 days, a couple drops of Kroil on each side of the lock bushing, this knife easily deploys with the thumb hole or with the slightest flick of the wrist, I can comfortably use my middle finger. Closes with one hand no problem. I currently have 5 folders, this is easily my new #1.

Very good, except..
Always liked the look of the Manix alone, but this is quite nice. The ball bearing lock is solid. The handle feel - very secure (amazing) and light in the hand. The blade I believe is just a tad less obtrusive than the last model which is more appealing to the pocket. The clip is a bit tight, but nothing a little loosening can't fix; I especially like the fact that it's more of a skeleton-like clip. My only disappointment is the the steel doesn't have that same wicked sharp feel as the other Spyderco's with either CPMS30V or H1 steel; but be careful, it's still sharp; maybe I just need to touch it up. It feels right when you hold it too. Once you practice a little it's quite easy to open as well.

Wanted a jogging knife
So I wanted a light folder to carry while jogging (I wanted to start jogging and thought carrying a knife may help). It took some getting used to only because I owned a Manix 2 XL (hands down favourite folding knife ever) and the light version of the standard sized Manix 2 seemed cheap, mainly due to its weight, however I wanted something lighter to start jogging with,so this was a natural choice. I now carry regularly for work (I really don't need a knife at work) and feel very happy with its ability to disappear in my pocket (I wear slacks/trousers). I'm still trying to go jogging, and have ventured out with Real Steel 127, which is the best neck-knife on earth. The Manix 2 is interchangable with the RS 127, however is a lot more expensive but has more blade length. What I choose depends on what task is at hand, as always. Ultimately, glad I own one and would not sell it, but could happily live without - using the fixed balded RS 127 instead.

Correction...
I don't know why I wasn't honest and state this prior, but, this is a follow up: the blade steel was as dull as a butter knife. It could not have been worse. I haven't really tested it but from my experience of comparing steel types, this blade steel is trash. There are much better steels to get than this.
