Perfect EDC

It has a fantastic blade (stays sharp), is lightweight, opens easily, is hardly noticeable in the pocket, and the pocket clip is adjustable to four positions. This was the first expensive knife I ever owned (bought in 2018), and I have not been disappointed once. It is the whole package.

Great knife! Razor sharp!

Great knife that is razor sharp. I like this knife better than my benchmade Osborne. Great shape and feel of the handle. I use the knife for hunting, fishing, and edc.

The Optimum Defensive Folding Knife

This version of the always popular Delica is a real winner. Not very expensive and a top performer in real world cutting capability. The flat grind blade slices through meat like it is not even there. The 2.9" length is legal in about 98% of America and the look is very "non threatening." (Who can be offended by Purple, Green, Grey and/or Brown?) As a "defensive folding knife" there are no down sides. Having a reversible clip for left handers if a plus (don't forget some purple LocTite for the clip screws if you change the clip!). I carry three of these knives. Two for defense, and one for utility.

perfect pocket knife!

this is a great knife. the FRN handles seem very durable and grippy and it seems like a lot of design went into making the ergonomics just right. It is also thin so it slips into your pocket without you even noticing. Can't really go wrong with this one. the only thing I don't like about it is its hard to close fast with one hand but I expect it would be better with practice.

Very well made + very light = perfect EDC

I had never owned a Spyderco, and I'm glad that I now do. This is a solid EDC, which is relatively non-threatening but still very useful. I wanted to get a knife that's light, has a pocket clip, a modern ergonamic design, is small enough to be unobtrusive in the pocket, -- but also big enough to handle occasional cooking tasks, opening boxes and packages, etc. I also wanted it to be non-tactical looking so that it would not broadcast "weapon" to others. This knife fits the bill well. [NOTE that though the blade is less than 3" long, the lockback design still makes this knife illegal to cary in some places. Check your local laws.] The leaf blade shape is useful. It's ground all the way to the top of the blade, and cuts very well. The blade is on the thin side, so this knife is not suitable for hacking or prying. The handle is very light and feels grippy and secure in the hand. The joint is well executed, and the blade does not wiggle at all when locked open. In general it's well designed, with the fit and finish I expected. However, it's not luxurious or fancy in any way. This is a knife for using. The signature hole in the blade allows for one handed opening, but it's not nearly as fast as a thumb stud. It takes two hands to close with the lockback. As before, this is not a tactical knife.

Good but not for me

Yes, yes Spiderco is legendary. It is sharp as all heck, has great lockup and is light/easy to carry - all a knife needs to be for many people. I'm apparently just not a backlock fan, the flick out just is a little sticky, and the plastic handles were a little rough around the edges. I paid near $100 for it and was expecting more. Maybe next time Spiderco...
