Liners make a difference

I had 2 Spyderco lightweights before and sent them back and never considered them again. Too much play and flex and just wasn't for me. I have wanted some k390 for awhile but they were all in FRN. KC had the Delica up for a great special price and I grabbed it and figured I would swap out to some nicer scales. After looking at a few videos, I saw Delica came with liners. What a difference! This thing is nice and solid. Can't believe I got this k390 for $89. Awesome! I saw someone else complain that it does flick open. Yes... it has a back lock. Don't get any back lock to flick

Light weight rockstar

I purchased a Spyderco Delica 4 Lightweight. This knife is very light EDC with an excellent blade that keeps a sharp blade for an extraordinary amount of time.

Liking this knife. First Delica model 4.

I think I have all prior Delica models. I am impressed with the feel of this 4. Cannot judge the K390 yet but I know it tests well. The one I for is quite smooth to open and close. Blade is well centered. Came very sharp but improved that fir ther with a few crock stick then stropping swipes. These flat grind Spydercos are exceptionally slicey. I have a minor concern about how very very thin the blade is toward the tip. Thinnest grind to the point of any knife I ever had. I think thinner than ave model 4 flat grind. But I only use knifes to cut, not pry or twist. So we will see. I am pleasantly surprised by how good the ergos are. First Delica with the steel linders. Like this a lot. I especially appreciate that the lock is easy to release. The spring is just right. Gonna hold be easy to press in. Overall, very pleased so far.

No more Amazon boxes!

I saw this on a YT video with a burly man chopping up cardboard boxes with ease. I had a mountain of boxes at home that I somehow needed to reduce to rubbish-bag size to recycle, so I bought it. Amazingly, it worked! I filled 20+ garbage sacks, and my place no longer looks like a Hoarders episode. It handled most of the boxes with ease once I got the angle right. (I had to be standing over it rather than sitting down.) And for my fellow women, I recommend wearing at least household gloves, since the sliced-up cardboard is abrasive and you'll ruin your hands. The *only* thing I couldn't handle with this knife was a couple of appliance boxes. They were very thick cardboard and also too large for me to handle on my own.

Not worth the wait

Just received the k390 delica that I ordered in February. It is the roughest opening delica out of the 4 that I own. I have not used it, I’m sure it will cut, but it certainly does not open and close like any spyderco model at all in my collection. I have never written a knife review before this one.
