I own several Spyderco Delica's and like any knife enthusiast, I want more. The Delica is one of the best knives in my collection and if you don't have one, put it on your wish list. Great knife.
Great knife. I have had a Dragonfly for years and wanted something similar but a tab but larger and this is it. Locks up nice and solid with a smooth action. Razor sharp out of the box. Works great for cutting rope, boxes, even bagels. A+
This knife is just the right size for me, I keep it in my right front pocket. It came hair-shaving sharp, and it also sharpens up nicely with my Sharpmaker. I like the straight spine on the back of the blade; i can use it to sweep up items from a flat surface.If there were one feature that i would prefer, it would be a wire pocket clip such as is on the Manix 2, rether than the flat clip that I have, and which has lost some of its black color from daily use. All in all, this is my favorite pocket knife.
The Delica is a favorite knife. I use it for everyday chores. The FFG blade works best for me. I do not use the pocket clip as intended. I put a length of paracord around a belt loop, tie a double knot in the other end and slip it under the clip. The knife rides down inside my pocket, but can be easily and quickly brought to play. (The pocket clip has caused me to lose knives in the past). Blue and orange are my preferred colors for the FRN Delica.
I use it for work at the warehouse I am working at, opening boxes and cutting pallet straps. Cuts through cardboard and plastics with ease but will need a little touch up on sharpening after a week or 2 of prolonged heavy usage. Just the right size for my purpose without looking intimidating. Both handle and jimping provides good grip during usage.
I enjoy this knife so much. Just holding it is a joy. I got this knife because it was quality metal VG-10, the blade length was right where I wanted my EDC to be 3" The price was right near what I could afford, and Spyderco's reputation. It also comes in a variety of colors. I got mine in red. This is perhaps the perfect EDC. eI never thought Id be able to own a Spyderco due to their price tag, and knife center did a fantastic job shipping it on time. I could write more but I'm tired.
Hello everyone this is my first review ever posted since I started ordering from knife center, and I would just like to say that the customer service, shipping, packing, and quality when received is just superb. I've never felt compelled to actually post about a company or product, but I feel like I would be doing you guys a big disservice not spreading the good news!! If your on the fence about getting this knife then I would definitely recommend it as an amazing EDC. The blade is a little thin but this is a good thing as its a good slicer especially with the FFG. Also cuts down on weight which is very noticeable! Combined with the handle material and skelotonized liners this beauty is LIGHT!!!! Hardly noticeable in the pocket being so thin as well, allows such a great carry daily at work. Good solid clip that's both good on retention and a smooth draw. The steel on this knife is just amazing, I've always been a big fan of VG-10, hair popping sharp and easily brought back up to that level when need be. Just like all Spyder Cos it came razor sharp out of the box. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, thanks again Knife Center I'll be back for more I'm sure of it!!!!
I carry it all the time, it's light and yet feels solid. It's my first Spyderco and I see more in the future. The thumb hole is brilliant and makes it easy to open from the pocket. It arrived razor sharp and has kept a good edge so far. Fit and finish are second to none. I love this knife - knew I would - but didn't know I'd like it this much. I got the orange for the visibility factor.
I already owned the stainless steel delica with the serrated blade. But I like the handle material of this one and the weight and the nice sharp blade!
