It's a great slicer, what can I say

I love a good wharncliffe blade and combine with a full flat grind it makes one heck of a slicer. It's seen some good use cutting both boxes and also food in the kitchen. It did an impressive job against a block of cheese. One con there was some stuff getting stuck in the scales patterns. Another great thing about a wharncliffe blade is the ease of sharpening. It's a breeze for me to keep razor sharp using a strop. (It came razor sharp too, naturally.) I'm not used to lockbacks but got used to them quickly, and after watching some videos I believe in their strength. It's sold out everywhere or expensive when I was looking and this got to me in just a few days. Pretty impressed overall! Cheers!

Delica 4 Wharncliff

There were two things missing from my Spyderco collection of edc's. A wharncliff blade and a Delica model. Now the Delica 4 with a wharncliff blade fits the bill. I'm very pleased with this knife. It fits my hand perfectly. This will gladly be placed in my edc rotation.

excellent EDC

classic good quality with this Spyderco. Normally, I find the Delica a bit small, and prefer a 3+" blade. However, the Wharncliffe blade on this Delica make it one of my most favorite EDCs. Perfect for daily chores. Highly recommend you add this one to your collection.

Love Wharncliffe blades

I bought the Delica About 5 months ago. It was actually the first Delica I've owned so far. It was also the first Spyderco out of 13 Ive now added to my collection that has the (FRN) scales. Looking at them online I always thought they were kinda flimsy looking in comparison to G10 scales. With that being said I can definitely say they are not at all flimsy or weak. Fiberglass reinforced Nylon are basically indistructable. And make the knife great for EDC that won't weigh your pocket down and the Wharncliffe style is another plus for a utility use knife. I couldn't be any happier with it overall. And would recommend it to anyone wanting a great EDC knife that won't cost them a fortune but still can turn the heads of other knife aficionados when you snap it open.

Delica Wharncliffe

I bought this Delica Wharncliffe to use as my EDC work knife in the maintenance field. The knife is great for all type stuff of cutting tasks, keeps it sharpness and feels good in the hands. Given it's size it doesn't take up much space in the pocket, also doesn't scare people if you have it out around others. The Delica Wharncliffe is an excellent edition to anyone's collection and is a proven blade shape. I will put this knife through its paces and when it's finally done I'll be sure to order another.

Nice wharncliffe knife

I love the new Spyderco Delica Wharncliffe. I use it mainly for opening packages. There is a reason box cutters have wharncliffe blades. They cut better.

Love it

Nothing to complain about here; hopefully this knife proves popular enough to get itself made in ZDP-189. Fits in your pocket about as well as a regular Delica, no real difference. That was my only concern. Great choice for daily use, especially for slicing.

Well worth the wait

I pre-ordered this knife last year as a Christmas present for myself and it was well worth the wait. I have several Delica 4's and it is now my favorite model.

Sharp in More Ways than One

I was thrilled to finally get my two Spyderco Delicas, both flat in flat ground Wharncliffe, one in VG10, the other in HAP40 (a sprint run). Both cutting edges sliced photocopy paper with ease right out of the box. But what I don’t understand is why the other edges (Spyderco hole and spine of blade) feel uncomfortably sharp and were not ‘broken’. I took one point off for that. I plan to use them and not leave them in their boxes so I have extra work to do to smoothen the edges that are not meant to be sharp.

Love the blade. Hate the FRN scales

Mixed reaction to this knife. I really like the Wharncliff blade and its sharpness. A big disappointment in the FRN scales on this knife. The underside of scales are sharp. The handle feels unfinished with poor quality control overall. I hope I can return it.
