Great EDC Spyderco Knife

Great knife. I love the stainless handles that don't get beat up or need special care. Reasonable weight given construction. Great all around use knife. I've got several Spyderco knives both shorter and longer than this version. This fits right in between in the collection. I left this on the East Coast to have a good knife there as I'm frequently flying with only a carryon bag. Great selection of knives and customer service from the Knife Center. Already looking to buy another to add to the collection.

Don't shave with it, but...

If you're looking for grippy G-10 handles you've come to the wrong place. If you like metal handles, a little weight, and thin, well designed blades that slice through anything you put in front of it then this is the mid-sized knife for you.

Best Every Day Carry Knife

I have owned the Police model for over 20 years and used it daily to cut open boxes at work and have never had to sharpen it. Man, once you try a serrated vg 10 steel, it is hard to embrace any other blade. This stuff is the best I ever seen IMO. Everything about this knife will be the best of the best of any knife you own. It can take the abuse and the lock will be good for a lifetime, it will never rust or break and if you are ever in a deadly confrontation only a gun or sword would serve you better. Knock wood, hope none of us ever have to do that. It is one of the most substantial blades in a folder, it is stubby and yet somehow they have maintained a point for a thrusting move. Whether you are thrusting or slicing, whatever material you are working on is on deep trouble. Even some of my fixed blades do not perform like the vg10 serrated. it is just the nastiest sharpest meanest tool in the shed. If I bought the delica 4 first, I probably would have never bought another knife. the police model is still in great shape, but is just too big for EDC. I buy some knives for fun but they just sit, the spyderco's are what is in my pocket. The cricket and kiwi are also great EDC, but they don't hold a candle to the delica 4. Best knife on the market for EDC, nuff said. The two "cons" are not really cons but observations is that the 100% stainless is heavy. Duh on that, it is 100% steel, if you are worried about the weight get the g10 handle delica. As far as opening, it opens very easy but not as easy as some of the other knives. this is good and bad, because it is slightly harder to open this knife will last you decades of use and never loosen up. That is a fact, i already have done it. The only thing you would notice on the knife I owned and used heavily for 20 years is some scratches, it has the same great blade and the same great action, and sturdy as the day I bought it.

Great knife

It makes a good edc, I actually prefer the endure over this knife just because you get a bigger blade for not much more weight and it feels better in my hand.

none better

You cannot find a better EDC carry, you can try but you will fail. Buy this knife. A little weighty and stainless is less grippy but those are literally the only downsides. Delica Shape is ideal, easy to open with practice, If you want a lighter more grippy go the with delica 4 frn plain edge or frn 100% or combo blades, do not buy the flat ground edge unless you want a very thin blade that can chip. These Delicas are the very best pocket knife you can find, just choose which model you want wisely. I prefer the serrated and I prefer the stainless. I finally bought another in this configuration after owning another for 25 years. Funny it still works like it did when it was brand new, I just bought another one for the fun of it :) I will never buy a different folder.

Solid Knife

This knife is a great piece, it's a little weighty but it feels solid.
