Rex-121
The edge lasted longer than my sage 1 in Maxamet. I cut thick heavy duty cardboard, twine off hay bails, plastic banding and many other things that are hard on edges. I can say i would make the purchase again. It does take some time to sharpen when you do dull it but it is doable with diamond sharpeners. It is a touch chippy compared to some other knives I have but the REX-121 and maxament have been the only 2 I have had that I’ve actually been impressed with how well they hold an edge.

Awesome Purchase
I use the Sage Sage 5 in my EDC rotation. The excellent fit to my hand, the snappy action, ease of employment, the blade steel and figget factor. I am a Spyderco Fanboy and do my research so that question does not pertain.

Worth it if you use it.
I bought this knife because it was on sale for ~$300. I finally decided I should go ahead and use it because "life is short". I now use it all the time on doing tough jobs like slicing roots in gravely soil. It is a PAIN to sharpen but dulls very slowly. Awesome ergonomics too.
