Purchased this case to house my new Nishijin Stretch 2 XL folder (which I don’t intend on carrying/using), and so far, it hasn’t disappointed. It is a little bigger than I anticipated. The description says the case can house up to a 5.5” (closed) folder, but it could probably house one up to an even 6” (if Spyderco even makes one that big). The crew at KnifeCenter was nice enough to check and assure me that the smaller case simply wouldn’t have worked with the Stretch 2 XL. I guess there will just be some additional cushion around the top and bottom. Case seems to be fairly well-constructed; didn’t find any broken stitching, and the embroidered logo was nicely executed and properly centered. The stitch that goes down the spine of the case was a little angled, but not a big deal. Lining material was nice and soft, as expected. So yes, I would recommend this for a nice Spydie folder that you value and want to keep protected.
