JB rescue knife - beautiful!

I wasn't so sure I would fully appreciate this knifes shape, it looks like a dodo birds beak. however in your hand, it feels great, looks great, and has a really nice sharp blade. people notice it and it gets many comments. overall I'm super happy with it.

The knife that belongs in your pocket or collection.

The Breeden Rescue knife is one of the most versatile knives I have, It can do it all slice ,cut ,score, The heft of the blade would allow a hammer strike if needed for chopping. Being spoiled by assisted openers you have to remember this is not.It feels good, I removed the clip added a lanyard and it sits in my watch pocket. Be fore warned this is about four times the weight of a Delica 4. So if weight is a issue for EDC then maybe this should just be a collection queen. This knife is quality thru and thru the price is right and a good addition to your other spydes.

Cons: Pocket Clip
Overall quality was very good. Personally would have liked the knife better if the blade was about a half inch longer. Spyderco makes great knives, but sucks at good pocket clips. I have already snagged mine on a chair and bent it to the point that is barely holds the knife in my pocket anymore. Flimsy. Like the design and have gotten alot of inquiries about it from friends and coworkers.

Spyderco JB Rescue

Great Knife a real workhorse an improvement on the Captain as the Line Lock has been modified Which makes it easier to open even when wearing gloves. Can't wait for J Breeden's next collaboration with Spyderco.

Great EDC

The blade has a weird shape but it works real good. The grip works perfect for any hand size. Seki City blade need I not say more.

Another Great Blade From Spyderco

This is a great knife. I have quite a few Spyderco blades and this one ranks up at the top in fit and finish. I mostly use this knife as a utility type knife, but would have no problems using it for light duty around a camp.

Unique, and Sturdy Practical Knife

The Jason Breeden Rescue is the first knife I have ever invested money into that is more than $50, and it has served to fuel an addiction for nice knives. My own personal use of the Rescue has been for EDC purposes and I have not as of yet truly tested this knife. But I have used it for simple cutting of tape, cardboard, rope, etc. and it is very well designed for any amount of cutting. The shape is unique and I personally find it to be a very attractive knife, the weight and shape of the handle and blade are very comfortable in the hand over extended use; overall a very practical well designed knife. My only complaint is in regards to the liner lock, which is quite stiff and can make your thumb sore from repeated use. At the same time this is also a good thing because it will never slip while the blade is deployed. Overall this is a well designed, unique, sturdy and very practical knife that I would recommend for anyone.

Practical, different design

As a disclaimer I like Spyderco's and tend to like most that I have purchased. This seems to be a practical strong knife that is indeed different, but in a good way. Reminds me of the Graham brothers razel series in some ways. You can cut or pry things loose or whatever you want. I like the design, but it is not traditional. This is used as an EDC although on some occasions it is too big for that. Does feel bulky compared to others.

ugly, tough, serious

i bought this knife to use as a rugged back-up blade for hunting and general outdoor use. it's frankly an ugly knife, but tougher than nails and brilliant in design for its intended uses. when open and in your hands it feels like a fixed-blade knife, and the blade profile will make it both easy to keep sharp and really useful for a lot of around-the-camp tasks. only tiny demerit is the way the g-10 scales join the handle: should be beveled slightly for better hand feel and for ease in operating the liner lock. other than that, an outstanding knife.
