The best straight blade folder for under 200$ easy!

Lightweight and lockup is nice and tight comes as sharp as a tool can be. Feels strong enough to handle some torque and harder slashing activities than one might expect. I will order another soon:)

Ulize is excellent

This is my first Spyderco knife, and i am more than impressed. The knife is even more beautiful in person and the overall feel is very solid and gives a sense of highly refined power. The blade shape is an extremely good cutter, slasher, and food prep shape. It says it wieghs 4.8 ounces on the specs, but mine is only 4.67! Best lockback I've EVER HANDLED!

Size without weight

I bought this knife to use as an EDC to replace my Benchmade Onslaught because I was looking for a knife with a large blade, like the Onslaught, but with less weight. The Ulize fit the bill and I am very happy with it,the handle is nice and slim with good checkering to keep a solid grip and the blade is nice and thick up to,almost, the point. It came very sharp and fit and finish are excellent as one would expect from Spyderco,my only complaint and it is a small one is that the clip is very tight so it is a little hard to pull out of pocket but that should become easier as the clip wears.

Favorite Folder

My Ulize , has the best design of any of my large folders that I own . Its long and thin and its shape make it very easy to carry . Made from top of the line materials . Its easy to open and close with a great lock . When you hold this knife in your hand you can understand the design of this knife . I've had this knife for a while and carry it often , I use it as my EDC . Its my all time favorite folder .

Good blade

Ok, this knife has similar characteristics to my Spyderco Police. If you like the Police blade then you will like this blade as well. The Ulize blade is thicker than the Police blade which is why is weighs just a tad bit heavier. I feel more comfortable with the Ulize over the Police because I do not fear I would snap the blade as quickly. Not that I would use the Police in any way to try and snap the blade, but I am just not concerned with that facet. Good jimping on the Ulize, but I give the nods to the Police for better thumb control due to its contoured thumb rest. The G-10 handle is just as good as the Police model and that aids in gripping the knife in any weather condition. The Ulize is nice and thin with steel liners just like the Police model. It makes for a great EDC knife. Good belly on the front of the blade. The Ulize is a typical Sypderco in that it is sharp as a razor. Only negative that I can give is that both the Ulize and Police do not have a lanyard hole.

The perfected perfectness

Since I've reccieved it, I am using my Spyderco Ulize on a daily basis. I'm working in Air Force Security the knive fits perfectly in my gear. It is slim enough to carry in a pocket, won't disturb with all the other stuff we have to carry, and still is fast deployable. My CO uses the Spyderco Police and at the beginning I wanted to order this. But then I gave he Ulize a try, since I liked the slightly curved blade. The edge is one of the sharpest I've ever seen and the locking mechanism is tough and I trust it fully. I never regretted to buy the knive even one second.
