Spyderco Rocks

Great EDC knife just got it in the mail very sharp lightweight and a nice pocketclip with a sturdy g 10 handle. Knife Center will always have me as a customer.

Update review on a EXCELLENT knife

I couldn't edit my original review so I am posting another, updated one. I was doing some cleaning and ran into this knife that I hadn't picked up in quite awhile. As I cleaned it I noticed just how well the balance of the knife was and how comfortable it was in my hand. I also really, really loved the wicked shape of the blade. The handle reflects light back in different patterns as you turn it. I was a bit awestruck. I went from not liking it much to really loving it. I then decided to see if it would shave off some hair on my arm. Ok, I was stupid and my angle was a bit off and the thing was so sharp it sliced a sheet of skin along with the hair, so thin it barely bled! Talk about scalpel sharp and that's right out of the box. I heartily recommend the knife thought the price is a bit much. The name of the maker, along with Spyderco, and the quality of the materials make it worth the cost. It may even go up in value some day but that's not certain; what is certain is that this is one nice little folder!

pretty nice knife

Nice item, sharp, extremely well finished, amazingly discreet when using deep pocket clip, all the brass and shiny steel is unseen and only black top of knife and flat black wire clip are visible. Of course, when taken out of pocket all stealth options are off the table....more of a cool collector piece than EDC, just because of the flash/fear factor, which may be part of the cool part. Fun to show people you already know.....

Quality,quality!!

It is currently my EDC right now. Stout, quality construction, good ergonomics, classic look, large in size but not over the top. As always Spyderco products are excellent. Excellent value for the price paid. The knife center service was also top notch. Easy, precise, no hiccups. They will be getting more business from me.

Schempp Bowie review

The first time I saw the knife - I said to myself what an ugly and weird knife. When I looked at it and saw the S30V steel I purchased it (very expensive in South Africa). I have carrying every day for the last 3 months and would not part with it for any amount. The strange blade configuration sits very well in the hand and feels like a natural extension. I have used it for numerous daily tasks and am very satisfied with the knife. The edge retention is quite good and can after extensive use still shave hair. Very balanced knife and excellent slicer and cutter. The coffin type handle makes it easy to change grip and feels natural. I like the deep pocket carry but the wire clip is very flimsy. Very good product from Spyderco.

This thing is AMAZING!

I just my copy of this knife from KC today and holy MOSES! This is one of the BEST large folding knives I have EVER seen come out of any the big knife makers. The near 45 degree angle where the pivot meets the blade on lock up is extremely helpful for a lot of knife needed tasks. It looks like a Buck 110 that "grew up" to my old eyes. This one truly is worth every cent it is just that out of the box well.."awesome" in my opinion.

Collectors only; not a EDC

It's a good knife. Sharp, light, interesting looking. I will tell you what though, the blade droops down like a flaccid "member" and feels very weird when you hold it. I watched a couple of reviews of it and it seemed cool and collectible; I would agree with that, just don't expect to EDC it. I hoped to actually use this neat little knife but the blade angle is too weird. Another knife for the collection instead of use.
