Bali fun without the finger-chopping

I have a couple of balisongs, but I'm not very good with them. This knife gives a similar satisfying action without the fear of finger-chopping for a clumsy person like me. It has the typical impeccable Spyderco build quality. The G10 scales are nice and grippy and allow for good manipulation. S30V steel - it's great and I have nothing new to add. While being fidget-friendly, the lock makes it very usable as an EDC knife.

I will say flipping it is strange at first but once you get the hang of it it’s fun and the factory edge was scary sharp.

Spyderco does it again!

I've wanted a Janisong for years after hearing about them, but could not get it due to import laws. When they became available in the U.S., I got one immediately. Spydercos are always top quality and this may be my favorite. The handle is a very neutral, comfortable shape. The full flat ground blade is slicey and very sharp right out of the box. The construction is solid. The handle is textured perfectly to provide a good grip without being too rough. It's only con is that everytime I touch it, I want to flip it. This is very smooth, but addictive and safe.

I use my Spyderco mainly cutting rope and breaking down boxes it is so fast and fun to work with. It comes razor sharp and ready to slice. It also came with a little buyers remorse but it faded fast when it arrived. A very worthy and capable tool.
