Amazing EDC: love the Lightweight version changes!

New Sypderco knife release: ordered in Dec 2025, received in July 2026. KnifeCenter kept me updated along the way. It's lighter, with a thinner blade stock, and more jimping than non-lightweight models. It fits my needs: lightweight and more slicey. I own several Spydercos, but my first US-made one. I have to say the Golden factory has better refinement than the Seki and Maniago locations: smoother edged Spydie hole, crisper backlock function (out of the box my blade drops naturally), rock-solid centering. No adjustments, tweaking, sanding of the Spydie hole needed! Blade steel is just fine for my needs and this price point. Only one note: the geometry means I have to relearn my Spydie flick -- the hole is further from the pivot than I'm used to on my others...but I'm getting it! (I also learned that the usual blade launch cadence from Golden factory: Plain, Black DLC, Black DLC Serrated, and finally Plain Serrated -- so this knife was at the end of the launch cycle)

Lil' Legend

This is my 3rd Spyderco and perfectly fits in the small collection. The build quality is excellent, very tight and sturdy all around. The FRN scales are lightweight and feel good in the hand. I was on the fence about buying such a small knife, given that I have no problem carrying a Manix 2 (even in the 5th pocket). I have no regrets and would buy another one without hesitation. Importantly, KnifeCenter fulfills orders very quickly, and I appreciate buying a quality knife from a great business.
