Just right.

This is the Spyderco I always wished was available. I own 2 Delia's and first generation Salt 1 which is similar in size to the Delica. The Endura is a great knife but is just a bit bigger than what I want to carry. The Endela is right in the middle and like a previous reviewer stated this is the Golddilock's knife-just the right size and feel. The flat ground blade slices really well and is stouter in build to the flat ground Delica. I've had this knife for several years and I have only had to touch up the blade on a rod occasionally-it keeps its edge very well. If you have medium to large hands you will like the handle as there is more to grip than the Delica. I carry my Endela often and carries slim in my pocket. I hope that Spyderco continues to produce this knife and offers different blade steels and handle options. Get one while the price is reasonable.

Outstanding EDC

Great balance, action and locking are crisp and secure. This knife is wicked sharp right out of the box. As a lefty, I appreciate the ambidextrous design.

Perfect

I love my Spyderco delica but there are so many times I had wished it were so slightly longer. This endela is pretty much exactly what I wanted because the endura is too large, I thought I wasn't going to like thickness of the knife but it still slices like a hot damn. Love this knife and it is sure to see a lot of use this summer at work.

The Goldilocks knife of all time

Owning several PM2/Manix/Endura/Stretch knives, I had no idea an Endura Junior would be the perfect EDC, but it is. Perfect in size - both blade and handle, thickness, weight and blade shape. It's more than the sum of its parts and not just a 7/8 Endura. The handle is way better and I'm not sure why, something about the downward curve at the back and the shorter handle locks it into place. The blade is big enough for food prep and feels just right in most situations. More flat blade than a PM2, pointier than a Stretch 2. And the grind was even with a perfect needle-like triangular point. Razor sharp and strops back easily. I've carried it every day for three weeks and traveled with it and can't imagine not having it on me. It's a gem and I'm hoping for more Endela colors and steels. Sure wish KnifeCenter would do a HAP40 with FRN

Perfect folding knife size

This knife is used as a every day work knife. The blade lenght is the perfect size. The Vg 10 steel is still a very good all around performer. Handle material is solid. Should last me along time. Got it on sale, which is even better.

Goldilocks Size

I generally carry smaller blades (Delica 4, Native 5, Para 3) but wanted something a bit bigger for camping, and this fits the bill perfectly. It's bigger, but not too big. Still lightweight, still carries modestly in the pocket, but fills the hand with a full grip and a more robust blade size. Will be the one knife in my pocket when road tripping/camping since I know it will be up for any task I may encounter.

Nice design but a few rough edges

The Endela, like it's little and bigger brother is a very nice design. It has great ergonomics and the size of the Endela is perfect for me. The materials are good but as the price edges ever closer to $100 an upgrade to BD1N might make this feel like a better value. The reason I am giving a 4 star rating is because the Spydie hole is quite sharp and needs to be chamfered . I have five Spydercos and none have hole this sharp, even my 1990 Delica which is also from Seki-City is good. The edges of the scales are also a bit sharp but doesn't really cause a problem. The only other minor nitpick is the back lock has to be depressed entirely before releasing the blade but not a problem. Otherwise a very nice knife.
