This is my curent EDC. I carried a Yojimbo 2 as my EDC since 2012. Love the wharncliffe blade, but the thick blade is heavy. When I saw the Canis in late 2019, I saw the eficient blade shape with the thinner blade and realized that this may be my ideal EDC. I love this knife. Easy to open one handed, sharp and ideal blade shape. Taichung built and very good quality. Spyderco you knocked it out of the park. Thanks KC for the usual speedy, good service.
Fit & finish are awesome as well as the action. This is a really fun, slicey, flickable knife that has great gutting geometry. It may be a tactical defense style knife but it's an amazing EDC. There are many far more expensive knives out there that can do the same thing but for the $$ this is a a real BANGER! This one is in my pocket a lot!
My first impression was very good the fit and finish is good. And man it is sharp right out if the box and it feels good in your hand. The shape of the blade is different and I like that. On the down side I think it's a bit over priced $192.00 is a bit high and everyone talks about the Taichung plant putting out such great knives and they are good but my Golden Colorado Spyderco's are smoother with no sharp edges(the Spydy hole) and I believe in USA 🇺🇸 products. This knife looks mean. It looks aggressive. It's sharp enough to split a hair right out of the box. The blade is a little weighty, which makes for very solid openings. It also allows the knife to close using only gravity when disengaging the compression lock. There is no break-in period with this knife. I've only had smooth openings from the very first flick. This knife is built solidly. And it's thin enough that I forget that it's on my waist. To be honest with you all (as well as myself), I think this knife has become my favorite knife. Nothing looks like it, nothing sounds like it, nothing feels like it.

I work on RV's and this is a tool that gets used. Today it was cutting screen for a replacement on a RV door. The ease and precision was why I recommend this knife.
