My third knife from KC. So pleasing in every way being a new customer. Shipped and arrived in a flash, carefully packaged. YJBFK in the flesh, folded or extended, commands attention. Makes a statement.The YJBFK in hand delights in every way. Perfect to behold, pristine literally. Beautifully fabricated DLC blade, feel and size of G-10 handle, even the clip. Impressive even folded. Extended from its nest the YJBFK makes a serious appearance from either end of the blade. Satisfaction with its action opening and lock release once nested engenders confidence. Immediately, once beheld the YJBK was desirable for my collection.

Got this a couple of months ago; my first Spyderco and the most I've ever paid for a folder/pocket knife. This thing is a beast without being bulky. Substantial yet light. Well built. Carries well. Has cut through everything so far; rope, plastic, cardboard, wood (little bit of whittling), leather. Definitely slicey but pokey too! I like the bigger blade and coarse G-10 scales, great grip and power. Really shines as self defense weapon. Can tell it was designed by someone who knew what they were doing. I feel comfortably armed with this in my hand. The handle facilitates multiple grip options; underhand grip, blade edge out is very effective. I know it doesn't fit the standard Spyderco profiles, but this badboy deserves some attention.

Outstanding defense weapon. Feels wonderful in the hand and the action is very smooth. Compression lock is top tier, locks up solid. "Spydie flick" is super easy with this knife as the blade is much larger and the weight carries it straight to the open, locked position. Absolutely razor sharp, sturdy blade. I wouldn't recommend beating this knife up with everyday work tasks that say the PM2/3 could handle since the deep deep hollow grind pretty much makes the bevel straight razor thin but it handles most tasks exceptionally well. It's a cardboard annihilator. Carries very well in the pocket, im a tip up carry guy but im sure any variation is just as great. Pocket clip is pretty good in my opinion but that's personal preference for me, I dont really put aftermarket parts on my knives just so I don't have to mess with warranty issues. Overall this thing is a beast and will have a place in my EDC kit.

I cannot find a grip where this knife fits my hand. Love the blade. Love the super aggressive grip texture. Deployment is disappointingly lethargic with thumb and finger. Blade does fall shut. The problem is with the handle. There is not a grip were this fits. At all. Hump in the middle finds the center of my middle finger and in my standard grip the back hump digs my pinky finger. I wear an XL glove. The humps on this handle just ruin it for me. Did not remotely find this big in my pocket. Did not find the knife heavy at all. Really hate the ergonomics of this knife! And I'll repeat on the deployment. Super slowwwww. Returning it.
