Pros: Ease of Opening, Pocket Clip, Blade Material, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Handle Material
Easy to carry, no corrosion even after cutting acidic fruit!
This Snap-It in H1 is an excellent smaller knife that handles every day tasks with ease. SE Sheepsfoot Snap-It Spyderco knives used to be my knife of choice whilst working, I would always have one clipped to my jeans on a belt loop for easy access. When I saw that the Snap-It was available again in the Salt range I couldn't pass one up to try Spyderco's H1 steel, so far so good! H1 will never have the edge retention of some of the other steel's Spyderco offers us knife junkies but in serrated form at least it is an excellent option for cutting in harsh wet/salty conditions. The only negative is that the Snap-It knives use a rubber insert on the handles, over time on my older knives this rubber started to break down or come away completely. The new version seems to have the same exact rubber inserts... I can't help to think that the Snap-It knives should have the grip area molded in the same way as other FRN handles... Time will tell to see how they hold up.
