Slick little folder

I have long been looking for a slim slip-joint EDC knife with a decent blade steel. When I saw this one, especially with the m modified Wharncliff blade, I had to have it - the fact that it has the relatively new M398 steel was a plus since I didn’t have that steel in my collection yet. It is slender enough to fit well into a dress pant pocket, but it’s not out of place in the yard or at work. The fine, extremely sharp tip is ideal for getting out splinters (did that), and the blade excels at cutting up boxes or opening packages. Despite its “angular” appearance it fits very comfortably in the hand, and with the finger choil it feels very secure. The slip joint it’s well balanced - solid enough to give a sense of safety, but smooth enough that closing it one-handed is easy. The Spyderco thumb hole is not terribly functional, but the flipper tip on the blade works extremely well. I like the wire pocket clip, too, since you can adjust it or cover it in shrink tubing if you want to prevent scratches on cars or furniture. This light knife is easy to carry but works big on most daily tasks. Highly recommended.

Good but not perfect

Very sharp, well made, too small for someone with bigger hands, flipper tab could be smoother it actually has some sharpness on the tab which is not great for in the pocket carrying
