Functionally perfect

Mine just arrived shaving sharp (I tested on arm hair) and the action is buttery smooth. Very easy to open one handed, and the choil on the blade makes it reasonably safe to close one handed as well. The handle material is obviously nothing to write home about but it’s very light and cuts down on the price. If I lose it or it ever gets confiscated it won’t break my heart. The only negative I notice is that the grip texture does seem to bite the inside of my pocket. Not sure if it will cause damage over time, but I might hit it with a light sanding around the pocket clip.

Size Matters

If your pockets are full and you need a reliable EDC, the Spyderco Dragonfly 2 is the perfect solution. Thanks to the thoughtful handle length and finger choil, it feels incredibly secure in the hand during use. I use mine for everything from opening packages to breaking down cardboard boxes for recycling—and admittedly, as an occasional utility knife. I specifically prefer the Wharncliffe blade because it offers superior control over the tip. When I have more pocket space, my EDC rotation varies between the Manix 2, Para 3, and Delica 4, alongside other brands that I keep mostly for show. I ultimately gifted my Native 5 to a friend because it didn’t feel as secure in my hand as the Dragonfly 2.

A perfectly executed wharncliffe

This is a great little knife for edc, work, and box cutting. Easy to open and close one handed. If Spyderco makes a Salt version in LC200N my head will explode.

Excellent little slicer

I bought this knife 4 months ago. It is my first Wharncliffe blade. It is my EDC and I am very pleased with its performance. I also have the Dragonfly G10 so I am familiar with the characteristics of the Dragonfly. The VG 10 steel takes an extremely sharp edge and imo holds it edge for quite some time. I cut mostly paper and light cardboard but do whittle with it on occasion. The lockup is fixed blade tight, no play at all. The smoothness and closing has a slight drag but it actually works better for ME, others may not care for that. I like the blade size and shape and as a tool it does exactly what I want and expect. Typical outstanding Spyderco quality and as usual Knife Center service and pricing is exceptional.

Great compact knife

Small and light weight, you almost forget you carrying it. I can get comfortable a full 4 finger purchase on the handle. The wharncliffe blade came hair popping sharp and really excels at opening boxes and day to day EDC tasks.

A Great Pocket Knife.

I love my Spyderco Dragonfly 2, The handle nestles in the crease of your finger joints, thumb on the back of the blade over the jumping and, despite its lilliputian size, allows for an extremely comfortable, natural grip. Even in a "gutting/pull cut grip with your thumb over the choil it's firm follows function. Perfect for package opening, pull cuts and draw cuts the blade comes quite sharp and is easily touched up with a strop.the only "cons" that come to mind: the wire clip is too tight for me to slip it over a pocket/waistband without "steadying" the material with my off-hand . I took the clip off and the knife feels even better and it rests in the bottom of my pocket. The Spider hole is unfinished, not "cut you sharp" but not radiused at all. I am ambivalent about this, it doesn't feel "good" but, unintentionally I'm sure, it aids in my thumb getting a good purchase to pop open the blade. I'll be purchasing another one soon, just in case Spyderco decides to "improve" it out of existence or delete it from production.
