Sharp little gentleman's knife for the 5th pocket
This is my first spiderco. I needed a 5th pocket knife for cardboard box disassembly, miscellaneous paper cutting, and perhaps light wood carving. I also wanted something that would not read as tactical. This version of the dragonfly is fantastic. It is so light, I forget it is in my pocket. I really like the finger choil which gives me a four finger hold on it. If you have similar needs, consider this marvelous device. It comes razor sharp.

What I expected
Very nice EDC. It's a gentleman knife, not for hard work. Small but..Mighty oaks from little acorns grow =) Not so easy to open with one hand.

Clean lines, beautiful everyday carry
I've long loved the Spyderco Dragonfly stainless steel handle knife, and was more than frustrated when I lost it after a cross-country move. I'm delighted to have it back in my pocket. Compared to FRN-handled Spydercos, there is a bit of heft to the knife, which I consider its only disadvantage though you might disagree. The clean lines of the knife, the sharp blade, and the beautiful handle make it a joy to use for everyday jobs like box cutting and letter opening.

Awesome little guy
There is nothing bad I can say about this little powerhouse. Out of the box it came razor sharp my forearms are bare in a few spots as proof. The weight and size is perfect, gets me by security no problems (after they had to measure it of course). The feel of the knife is the most impressive, for such a small knife it fits my entire meaty paw. Its literally a pleasure to use. I see alot more Spyderco's in my near future.

Great all around EDC
This is a great all around EDC pocket knife,the size is just right for 99% of what you would do on a day to day basis and the all stainless steel construction makes it very tough and gives it a sturdy feel in your hand. One of Spyderco's best designs.

Bought two for my 12 and 13 year old nephews. Had it monogrammed with their initials.. They were a big hit... Their uncle had come through with a great gift... The knife is not overly large so their parents didn't freak out... Would buy again

Everything that comes out of Seki City is a work of art. The fit and finish on this knife are truly world class. It looks like a single piece of steel. It is dead straight, perfectly machined and sharp as a scalpel. My old Sogwinder I was the same way. Another thing I like is the fact that the pivot pin is completely internal. I hate it when I try to tighten up a loose pivot (on cheaper knives) and then the liners are so tight the blade doesn't want to move. But if it's not tight enough, the threads want to back out again. Only thing is that the Spyderco logo looks more like a wood tick than a spider. Buy it anyway.

Awesome Pockeknife
This is truly a great knife. Sharp as a straight razor out of the box, locks up really tight with a loud click, like it's saying "I mean business". The only thing I didn't like right away was the pocket clip. It only allows tip-up carry, and you can't position the any other way.

not my favorite dragonfly
I have two of these. My other dragonfly is the salt version, which I like better. The steel has a slippery handle as the handle has no texture. There is also no texture on the back of the blade in the finger depression. This knife opens great with one hand. HAving said that, this knife is high quality and it looks pretty. I am a big fan of the dragonfly knives, and I'd like an all metal one, but it needs to have some grip texture on the handle and blade.
