My wife took it

Fabulous quality, sharp, durable, precise and easy operation, dynamite blade quality, easy to clean up when messy, great value. I lent it to my wife and it turned into a gift. Now it's her EDC.

My fave lightweight EDC knife

I ordered the H1 Dragonfly specifically as my small utility fishing knife. Upon receiving it, the ergonomics, weight and overall build quality was amazing for such a small knife. I quickly became a fan of the overall design of the dragonfly and ordered a second in VG10 steel for my lightweight EDC knife. So pleased with it , I'm planning to buy different versions of it to add to my collection.

Simple absolute beauty

Although I still need to get the handle on how to correctly open a Spyderco knife (I am not used to the Spyderco Hole design yet), this Dragonfly H1 knife is a marvelous precision cutting instrument. It is a beauty in yellow... I love absolutely everything about it, and fits so nice in my hand. Finally, I have a proper EDC to take almost everywhere.

Spyderco Quality

As usual, well made quality knife, reasonble price, light weight but decent size with boutique steel. My go to daily carry.

Great gift!

I bought this as a gift for a young friend after he suggested the brand. I learned something about knives by reading the site and the reviews! Great product!

Great Knife

Nice compact knife to have when you visit place that frowns upon weapons. H1 blade is easily kept sharp on a ceramic rod. Draws less attention sine the Yellow handle looks less “menacing” or “tactical”.

Truly capable and invisible everyday carry knife.

The Dragonfly2 Salt is an awesome pocket knife for everyday carry, fishing, and general utility use. The edge is wicked sharp from Spyderco, cutting cardboard, tape, food, pruning stalk-type landscaping plants are done with extreme ease. I use this to cut an apple every day and open packages occasionally. I bought this knife for fishing at my folks place at the coast, but it's compact, light and handy. The wire clip is awesome and holds the knife securely on your pocket edge, but the traction of the handle material makes getting it onto your pants a little bit of an exercise. Blade length is sufficient for everyday knife tasks and the hollow grind slices nicely. I will be getting other salt models based on the quality of this knife.

Yellow Dandy

My 4th Dragonfly, solid lockup as all the others are. The FRN handle provides great traction, and the blade was razor sharp as all my Spydercos have been. Really like the wire clip too. Lightweight winner, and Knife Center had the best price I could find.

I use this knife everytime I go to the beach, at least once a week. It does not rust, I have put it through its paces. I left it outside for days at a time here in Florida. No problems. The "H" coating does flake off, but just buff it. Pocket clip could be more robust, but does the job though. Very ergonomic knife and sharp.

Piece of Art

The styling, color, quality, lock up, blade steel, grip, lock up, jimping (3) are all first class. I would have preferred a side lock. The clip is a bit too light but can be adjusted. Small enough to not scare in polite company. Stout enough to get things done. A knife to treasure for a lifetime and pass on to my grandkids.

Great tool for daily tasks... cutting cord, breaking down boxes, removing packaging, etc... H1 edge is sharp, action is smooth & comfortable to operate. Even though I prefer aluminum, the yellow FRN handles are perfect for this style knife. Be careful if you use the front finger choil, at most your finger will be 3mm from the blade edge, with little room for error. Although small, it is still easy to control using varying grips. Overall quality is A+ for a factory folder at this price point. Highly recommended.

Well built little knife

It fits my small hand well, grip feels very natural. If you have a thick index finger it probably wouldn't be comfortable. (Because the indent for the index finger isn't very big.) No noticeable blade play, good lock-up. I use the knife for EDC utility tasks, a small knife I can clip in the pocket and forget till I need it. The choice of hollow grind seems a little strange to me, but the radius is bigger than it seems in a picture. (I.e. closer to a flat grind than what it looks like in the picture.) I bought the knife partly because the steel is supposed to be extremely rust resistant compared to edge holding ability, but I haven't used it in a very hostile environment yet, so I can't tell much there.

Great EDC, fits well anywhere. I love the steel I take this knife with me where ever I go and it holds up to every condition and every task (at least the small ones). I will definatly be buying a larger knife of the same steel soon.

Dragonfly H1 Salt lives up to spyderco's reputation

Quality made knife. I now own 4 spyderco knives and would purchase all of them again. Love the corrsion resistance of the H1 series as well as edge retention.

A Little Circle of Love!!

I just put it on my Harley Roadking key ring as it's been a reach to get my keys out my jeans. You never know when you'll need a small blade for fruit or pesky packages. It forms a flat circle when closed so it'll fit in anywhere. I'd buy it again.

great lightweight pocket knife

Daily carry knife that is lightweight and easy to open. Like all spyderco brand knives, it is a little pricey but I feel it is a quality product.

Great little knife

I bought this knife for salt water use and wanted a small knife to take to the beach. I love the little knife. A little to small for every day use but great for cutting lines on the boat. It's a stout knife. The only thing I don't like is the pocket clip.

Small, Useful, and Low Maintaenance

I live in south Louisiana among swamps, bayous, ridiculous humidity, and I'm only about an our from the Gulf of Mexico. Needless to say, it's easy to rust a knife blade or a gun barrel if you're not constantly maintaining your gear (which I am). I wanted a blade that I could take out to the coast, cut some crab lines and fishing string and just forget about it. No rinsing everytime I make a cut or get splashed from the salt water. Cons: Only one that I've found is that there is up and down play on the blade. I've slightly tightened the pivot but it hasn't helped and I'm nervous to over torq the pivot area bc there are no steel liners to screw into. Also, due to the small size, one handed opening is difficult and exaggerated. This isn't a knife built for speed. Final con: The wire pocket clip came loose more than once. I had to put some threadlock in the screw that retains it.

Great Knife

Great knife, the clip is very flimsy and mine broke, making me unable to carry this knife around with use, especially during the summer on the boat.
