Good on its own. Excellent followed oby an ultra fine stone and strop.
Definitely fills it’s intended niche and then some within the range of steels you’re comfortable sharpening with ceramics. Granted results are always dependent on the skills and patience of the one performing the task. That said the small size of course may make it more difficult for some less experienced to maintain as consistent angles as with a larger stone. In which case the technique employing a marker and or jeweler’s loop may be helpful. On the other hand, as part of a progression following up with an ultra fine ceramic stone and then strop has yielded excellent hair whittling polished edges.
