My Favorite Military 2!

I owned another version of Mil2, and while it was OK, it was not perfect. This one feels much better made, in fact I think it the best-made Spyderco with a G10 handle! I personally always prefer models with Titanium handles over composite ones because they feel sturdier, more rigid, more reliable, made of "nobler" materials, while FRN, G10, Micartha and even carbon fiber are just glorified versions of lowly plastic and will always retain that "cheap" feel to them. The blade is relatively large but thin with a proper distal taper, and the overall weight balance is spot-on, which in this case excuses the choice of cheapo G10 handle scales. This is one of the rare cases when you pay primarily for the premium blade made with premium steel set into a relatively basic handle to keep the price down. The lock is great, the action is great, the quality us great, but because of what I said earlier, this knife does not feel premium. It does feel worth every penny though. And yes, it is the best Military model extant. Cheers!

Great Knife

I carry the Military 2 periodically, but especially if going into the woods. Haven't found a job it doesn't excel at. It was sharp and clean from the factory and haven't had to really do a thing with it. I have become a fan! I only recently bought my first Spyderco as for quite a while the blade shape didn't thrill me. Know that I have 'seen the light' I have 8 of them and this Military 2 started it all! This knife is well built and MADE IN USA!

Best Military2!

The sharpness and cutting performance are excellent. The handle has a great grip, and both the opening and closing action are very smooth. I’m a fan of the Spyderco Military, but this one stands out with its particularly high level of fit and finish. It feels like it was crafted with a lot of care.

Big Brown Bear nails it again

I am impressed centered blade , no blade play , opens and closes easily, very sharp, slices very nicely . Just do not pry or use this knife like a crowbar but to open letters cut chip bags open cardboard boxes cutting twine cutting tape or sharpening a pencil cutting a piece of steak or vegetables on a wood cutting board don’t cut metal of any sort or use it for drilling holes just as a simple cutting tool and it will not disappoint you

Typical Spyderco

First time owning a Military of any type and I’m enjoying the size, not nearly as big in the pocket as worried it might be. The steel and heat treat are great, cut a ton of box’s and some sod with no real effect to the edge. The bevels are a bit off from one side to the other, but that pretty typical of Golden made Spyderco’s. All in all really happy with this knife.
