It Just Feels Superior

The way the knife feels in your hand, the way it locks into your grip…it becomes a part of you. Arrived incredibly sharp. The blade geometry yields effortless cuts. Superior fit / finish. The scale texture is perfect, just the right amount of traction. The only nitpick is the T6 screws on the clip are easy to strip out, how do I know? 😉

perfect

Looks good, action is solid yet light. The pocket clip seems backwards but it can be moved.

Best PM2 yet ( certainly for a fisherman )

It's a PM2. These are well known and generally well regarded for a reason. Several reasons. I have three different PM2s, they are that good. If you don't have one yet, there are plenty of reviews out there if you want a review of the model. I just came here to say the PM2 Salt is everything I've wanted in a PM2 as a fisherman. You can't miss these scales on a riverbank or bottom of the boat. It's definately not going to fall out of a wet pocket. If you like the model, and you're using knives in wet or otherwise corrosive environments, pull the trigger. Ok, wait, so I don't come off as a blind fanboy: They should have placed the black smooth patch on the scales directly under where the clip contacts the scales. Like I said, it won't be slipping out of a wet pocket. It won't fall out of a greased pocket for that matter. Not until it wears the pocket away. The rest of the knife is so good that it makes up for this pocket eating.

Worth the Loooong Wait!

I am a collector and I love the Spydercos. This one didn't disappoint in the great yellow and black coloring, not to mention the blade shape and size in wonderful Magacut. I love the compression lock. Overall, one of my favorites!

Great Knife, Great Steel and Great Handles

If you have played with or owned a Paramilitary 2, then you understand why this is a great knife. It is a flagship model for Spyderco. The main differences on this model is the blade steel (Magnacut) and the G10 black/yellow handles. Great Knife. Only issue is that it was really hard to come by, had to wait over a year for a restock preorder. Would buy again and again and again.

Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Salt

1) EDC 2) Very Slicey with good blade geometry and a excellent sharp grind from the factory 3) The release for the Compression Lock is too recessed and needs to be more substantial for easier manipulation

Good materials, poor assembly

This is not a reflection of KnifeCenter. I'm sure If I wanted to return the knife they would take care of me. This knife came with a very weak detent such that one could fling the blade open too easily. It simultaneously had a side-to-side blade play when locked open and a sluggish action. The lanyard tube barrel spacer was not fully pressed into the steel liners such that the handle scales/liners were not parallel and the knife flared out slightly. I was able to bend the lockbar to improve the detent, clean and tune the pivot, and press the barrel spacer fully into the liners with a c-clamp and two pieces of wood. Flipping the pocket clip to tip-down was tricky as the screws really wanted to cross thread and the knife has some lock stick. Those last two aren't such a big deal to me. The knife is sharp and cuts. My experience buying Spyderco knives made in Golden, CO has been increasingly hit or miss. At $200+ these things shouldn't happen. I'm keeping this knife because I was able to rectify the issues, I like the design, and I waited over a year for it to be released.
