This is my EDC knife. Caution, this is without a doubt the sharpest knife I have EVER handled out of the box. Amazing. Very solid built knife, no wiggles.

Best of the best for the southpaw
The Paramilitary 2 rides in my pocket every day. I use it to cut everything from English Muffins to cardboard, wire ties and wood. The Full Flat Grind makes for a knife that slices far better than other heavy duty knives. The CMP S30V steel is a premium knife steel that holds that sharp edge for a long time. The compression lock is very positive and will not allow the blade to develop any wiggle over the years. It [the lock] also puts just enough pressure on the closed blade that it will not open until you want it to. The blade will not come open in your pocket. This is a far superior [stronger] lock than a liner lock or back lock. This is a knife for someone with medium to large hands. It fits the hand well. The build quality of this knife is so good that you will think it is hand made. In my opinion this is the best made, highest quality, sharpest pocket knife a southpaw could hope to find. At Knifecenter's price this knife is a steal. BUY IT!! You will thank me.

Impressive Hard Use EDC Knife!
Ok, first of all, I'm sure I'll make some people mad by saying this, but I've never found Spyderco Knives to be aesthetically pleasing. I think my biggest gripe comes from the fact that the oversized finger chiol reduces the potential cutting edge length making the handle to cutting edge ratio feel like I'm getting short changed. That being said, this knife is an impressive hard use beast that exemplifies function over form! This knife has great ergos. The large ramp over the Spydy hole makes for a great thumb stop for piercing tasks and the long flat downward slope along the spine gives great space for indexing your finger for draw cuts. The handle is comfortable both in the standard grip and choking up using the oversized finger choil. Then the Spydy hole itself surprisingly allows easy opening without worrying about getting a thumb stud caught on something. The compression lock is impressive. Similar in concept to a liner lock in how its deployed but because it wedges itself between the blade and stop pin it effectively blocks the blade from ever slipping loose and closing on you. Admittedly it took me a few days of fidgeting to get the hang of flicking it open and closed with just the compression lock, but then again, I'm spoiled with the ease of my Demko AD20.5 and We Vision, both with incredibly fidget friendly locking mechanisms. But this is about the Para 2 here. Last but not least, its sporting razor sharp S45VN Steel! From what I understand its about on par with the more widely used S35VN Steel but boasts more rust resistance. All in all, I might not appreciate the Spyderco's unique aesthetics as much as other knife enthusiasts but I know this will be my go-to knife whenever I want a hard use beater I can rely on.

My favorite edc
Being left handed makes this the perfect knife for me. Got it worn in pretty fast. Love the long handle and has no problem cutting through anything.

Miracles HAPPEN!
A perfect compression lock folding knife for lefties. If you think about it a pistol in your right hand, and a paramilitary 2 in your left hand sounds like a pretty good plan.

Quality build!
As usual for Spyderco knives the build quality was exceptional. Certainly no Chris Reeve, but for a factory knife no other company does it as well as Spyderco.

Excellent EDC
As a lefty, I’m not used to being catered to. I’ve used workarounds for different knives, tools, and firearms for my entire life. However when it comes to compression locks I see a major benefit in being able to disengage the lock with my index finger while maintaining control of the knife with my thumb. The Para 2 is a work horse. This is the knife I carry to work every day. I clean it out every couple months and it has never failed me. I highly recommend this knife.

Longterm user
One of my favorite hard use edc. As a chef I use this knife for boxes, deliveries of food items, cutting plastic, opening beer bottles. I’ve abused, sharpened, reassembled this whole knife. Steel is premium sharpens easily, easy to strop. I’ve been repeating these patterns weekly for the last two years and this knife is still running strong with no blade play, everything locks up just like new not mechanical wear besides the scales and clip. Also plus this is a lefty. My one and only gripe with this knife is the knife clip for someone reason it doesn’t secure super well and catches a bunch of times and slips off. I remedy this with a deep carry clip finally. Also final con was the blade was ground ever so slight off one side was higher than the others. I have 300 plus pocket knives but I always find myself coming back to this knife. Will probably put a preorder for a back up in case this one ever wears out which I doubt.

Stripped pocket clip screws
It came with the picket clip oriented tip down left handed. First thing I did was try to swap the clip to tip down. The pocket clip screws are locked into place and I stripped every one. It was supposed to be my daily, but with the clip stuck, i dont think so anymore. Other than that, it's perfect.

GREAT EDC KNIFE!
The full-flat grind really makes this knife a workhorse when it comes to cutting. Being left-handed, I appreciate the LH compression lock. It makes closing the knife effortless for me. While other RH compression lock knives require a little more care, it's doable, just not convenient. So, for me, the LH lock is awesome. It would have been nice if the clip had been left uninstalled. I don't know what type of thread locker is used, but I had to heat the screws up quite a bit before being able to relocate the clip. Also, my pivot was too tight and that took even longer to heat up before being able to adjust the tension. I also wish they had cut in a sharpening choil. I have a 3mm round diamond file, but it would have been nice if the blade came with a sharpening choil from the factory. Overall, this is a tough knife to beat. I do love using my LH CRK Sebenza 31, but this PM2 is amazing, especially at this price.
