Near-100% stainless steel, razor sharp, solid lock-up. Purchased to be that "do-all" knife which resides in my pocket when salt water wade fishing, to be super-slicey when cleaning fish and game, or, manage dirt and grit such as opening mulch bags. Douse it in water and it's ready for the next task. No liners means the scales are thicker, giving the knife an appreciable in-hand feel. There's nothing slick or fancy about this Spyderco creation - it's just an excellent folding knife.

I wanted a knife it go swimming with. Now I carry all the time. It is so light for a big blade. I have two nicpics wasn't shaving sharp out of box but easy fix. It isn't a fast one handed opening. Easy to sharpen .

Overall a good knife
The good: out of the box edge is razor sharp. glides through everything if used it for so far. knife is very light with a robust lockup. well built. multiple pocket clip locations whereas the older model only had 1. lc200n is an improvement over H1 in pretty much every way. cant say for sure how the weather / corrosion resistance is but if its on par with my older salt H1 (which i purposely neglected to see how it would handle being wet) it should be outstanding. the green is a really cool color and the blacked out hardware is a nice touch. i like the pocket clip is held on with 3 instead of that weird screw/lanyard hole thing from the older one. screws holes for body and clip have a metal thread insert. The not so good: blade centering out of the box was not great. not rubbing the side but close. i managed to get it as close to center as possible but it still noticeably favors one side. does not feel as robust as the older pacific salt. the handle is a 2 piece spacer design versus the 1 piece the older one was. blade is also thinner (tho more likely due to the different steel). the action is stiff if adjusted to remove blade play. its not a 2 hand open stiff but stiffer than say a pm2 with its phosphor bronze washers u wont be bale to flick it open unless u put a lot of wrist into it. but that is a compromise that must be made to get as close to corrosion proof as possible.

Was hard opening out of the box, very stiff, and the blade was a hair's breath from touching the right scale when closed. I'm not obsessive about the blades being perfectly centered when closed but this one was significantly off center and I was concerned it may ultimately start rubbing on the scale. I used a quick easy fix for this I learned on YouTube awhile back and now it's dead center. I hate the teeny T6 Torx screws on any folder but they are what they are but it seems like they could use a T7 and they'd be considerably better. I DO like the knife. It seems tough and sharp enough out of the box but is my least favorite of the three Salt series Spyderco knives that I have. That said, like I say, I like it fine I'm just not overly excited about it but I'll likely always carry it because it's light enough that I hardly know it's there. BTW, I carry several knives for several reasons and this is one of them now.
