Pros: Weight, Ease of Opening, Handle Material, Pocket Clip, Blade Material, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None

All day utility.

This is an excellent knife. I use it every day in a boatyard on Long Island Sound. I prefer the orange handles so that I don't lose my knife (I have a rescue jr. too). It is razor sharp out of the box. The finger choil (like on the rescue jr) is choked up close to the blade which is exactly what i was looking for. I would have chosen the Caly 3 with the lock which is virtually identical but the carbon fiber handles looked too pretty and the high end vanity steel priced it out of contention. Personally I think carbon fiber is a step down from G10. I sacrificed the lock-back of the caly 3 for the orange g10 handles of the UKPK which has more traction, visibility and strength. The knife is made in the USA, another prerequisite for this particular purchase. The light weight and size make this knife imperceptible on your person. I feel safe using this knife a dozen times a day despite it not having the lock. Thanks Sal.... another home run!

Spyderco SlipJoint

Pull is way to light. You can actually flick it open with your wrist. This shouldn't be the case with a slipjoint. Other than that I'm pleased with the knife. Great size for the pocket, with or without the clip. The blade shape and design it good for all around daily tasks and it was shave sharp out of the box. The G10 is grippy and comfortable, especially the shape, although I do wish Spyderco would offer other handle materials. Overall, I'd say it's a very functional knife but as a slipjoint it misses the mark by a large margin.
