Cons: Handle Material
Cheap EDC knife for those who want a larger handle
I have been playing with the knife at work for the last 2 days. I have kept it in the pocket on the clip at the same time as my normal EDC knife and have hardly even noticed the extra weight and size in the pocket. Mine came shaving sharp out of the box and has maintained its edge through multiple boxes. I have attempted minor prying actions and twisting and the knife has shown no signs of fatigue or possible issues from the actions. Mine locks up a little tight and is difficult to close one handed if that is your thing. the opening action is still somewhat tight but will become easier the longer I use it. The handle is a little long for my hand in a normal tip up deployment but it also feels great in my hand if held tip down. The handle feels like holding a snake somewhat because of the design. I haven't had any gripping issues with the knife at this point but the plastic does feel cheap. Overall for the price I would say it is a solid knife and worth picking up if on a budget or just need something you are not afraid to lose.

EDC knife, very light and sharp. Good out of the box and for a low price. So light, you forget you have it with you.

Excellent knife
This knife is well made, smooth opening, and shaving sharp. I like wearing it in the woods, but sometimes feel it is a little bit big for "in town." (Certainly it is not huge.) I am ordering a similar byrd knife that is a little smaller, but expect the quality to be just as good.

I was quite confident I'd love this knife so I ordered two. Not disappointed! The knife was razor sharp, the lock-up was solid, the fit and finish was Superior to my mind. The grip configuration of the FRN handle material was wonderful. The stainless clip was a plus, looked great. I found the birds head/comet head opening hole to be easy to manipulate. Cardboard, no prob, rope, no problem. Thank you Spyderco, for 26 buckaroos... definitely awesome possum.

I lost a Spyderco Endura recently. This was a replacement for my everyday carry, for cutting and protection. I do security work part time and I am allowed to carry a knife. You simply can't beat the quality for @ 23.00 !!

Outstanding
Owning the original Cara Cara I wanted to try the full flat grind of the CC 2. To be honest I like the grind on the older C C. That being said the new handle and pocket clip are much better. The Spyderco Byrd knives for their price are outstanding !

I have bought 7 of these Byrd Cara Caras. I bought the first as a replacement for a Spyderco Endura. Honestly the fit and finish is not quite the same .However there is not $50 worth of difference. The knife takes and holds an edge well. the grip is very non-slip , the lock has never failed , ease of opening is superb. This is my daily carry. I have given 4 as gifts and keep two NIB just as back ups incase I lose mine or need a last minute gift. For the money this knife cannot be beat.

I cut down a 4" od tree
First off, the qc is way better than any spyderco usa made knife. This is a razor with a handle. Super sharp, aggressively surated, steel lined handle, lightweight. Almost a do all except for the thin tip. The tip bends but hasn't broken. By far the best budget brand knife brand.

Good Knife for the price.
Good knife for the price. Definitely not the quality of an Endura, but for the price it is a good deal.

Pros: Weight, Pocket Clip, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, Lock Type
Very poor quality control.
Within a few minutes of taking it out of the box and opening and closing the knife, the lock broke. It wouldn't lock the blade. Sent it back. Too bad because it looked a lot like an Endura.
