My favorite small fixed blade
I bought this knife as an EDC fixed blade. Turned out to be a little too big for that (based on my taste), but still what a knife. I carry this while hiking and fishing, super light and easy to carry. I saw an x-ray of this knife online after purchasing. It does have a pretty short tang so i wont use it for heavy duty tasks like batoning wood, but who knows it may do that just fine too. the ergonomics are fantastic. I have med hands and it fits perfectly. and the VG-10 steel is just plain awesome for general use, takes a scary sharp edge and holds it well.

Spyderco Moran Drop Point
This is a knife that I had often seen advertised and written about, but I just recently picked one up. My first thought was "why didn't I get one of these before?". The ergonomics are outstanding, and it's light as a feather. Hair popping sharp right out of the box (as all Spydercos I've seen are), and the multi position kydex sheath bespeaks quality and provides for secure and safe carry. I'd recommend it highly!

Spyderco FB02 Bill Moran
Only having Spyderco folders before now, this fixed blade is a perfect utility size day in, day out, carry blade, fits nicely in my over size hands, razor sharp and holding it's edge.This knife should need less maintenance than other similar but cheaper knives. Unfortunately the knife didn't survive unscathed my dropping it on a ceramic tile floor less than three hours after getting it home. A small 1/8 inch peace of the honed edge broke off of the forward bevel. I doubt any knife would come through this kind of test without at least a dent of this type. The sheath holds the knife securely, only complaint is with the multi position belt loop, it could use a few more holes for a more personal positioning. Overall it's worth the $95.00 plus shipping.

Not as good as the F1
Listen, I am a spyderco guy but this knife is not as good as the f1. The blade is thinner and worst of all it is not full tang. for that reason it does not balance well in the hand. But after all that, it still is a syderco and it still is vg10 steel, so this is a great knife. The best part of this knife is how the sheath is made, it is form fitted to the knife and is a great feature. It comes sharp as you can get out of the box, just like everything else you get from spyderco. This is a lighter fixed blade, which may be good or bad depending on what you have in mind. For a one knife to do all chores, I would go with a full tang heavy knife. But if you are looking for a capable cutter and just about the best tactical fixed blade you can find, this would be a great great choice. When I go on my morning walks I choose this over the f1 because the f1 is noisier and slightly heavier to carry. It is nice to have the 2, but if I could only have one it would be the Fallkniven f1, sorry spyderco make a fix blade like the f1 and I will by it just because I'm such a huge fan of your brand. great knives!!
