Great little made in China Spyderco fixed blade

The usual Spyderco quality but I was disappointed when I opened the box and saw the word China on the blade. Did not know Spyderco had a knife from China. Feels great in the hand and is sharp as heck. Paid $70 and I like it, I was looking for a fixed blade for my front pocket and that is what it does . I am swapping out its own clip for an Ulticlip I ordered on Amazon.

Sheath should rock but flawed

I have Bowie & Drop Pt versions. Knives are fine, but the sheaths, which should be the strong point based on advertising, are flawed. The Bowie sheath is loose and doesn’t fit well. The Drop Pt sheath is so tight you almost can’t draw it. After working it with chunks of polymer coming out it’s now useable. For the price, Spyderco should do better. I almost returned these.

Drop Point sheath is hard to draw.

I have not had much of an opportunity to use this knife, as it practically undrawable from the sheath that comes with it. It sticks so badly, even after working the knife in and out a bunch of times, I still have to push the sides of the sheath open to get it to draw without a mildly frightening amount of force. As a secondary complaint, I purchased the knife with the expectation that I wouldn't the belt attachment, and I don't. I could probably replace it with a new clip. Instead, I'll be replacing the entire sheath.
