I also own a first generation of this piece. This new model has a dramatic increase of quality end ergonomics.I particularly like the jimping on the back of the blade, it provides great grip for your thumb. The blade also features a larger opening hole, -It's so much easier now to open it. This product has no downsides. it will be virtually impossible to make the next generation even better Spyderco!
Great for a gentleman's daily carry. Smooth opening and sure locking mechanism make for true one-handed use. I am a surgeon. Weight, balance and ergonomics are important to me. I recently purchased a small Boker folder for the same purpose. Comparing fit, finish and feel in the hand, Spyderco wins hands down.
