This is the second knife I ordered from KnifeCenter.com. My first order included a Spyderco Delica4 which I carry everyday. Great knife! Spyderco Ladybug 3 Knife: I ordered this knife for my wife because I received a small knife in the mail for renewing a membership to a national organization. Anyway, the knife that was sent by the national organization was cheaply built, and one of the sides broke during shipping. Well my wife said we could glue the side back on. I thought wow! She was really serious about wanting a little knife to carry. Hence, I ordered her the Spyderco Ladybug 3. Upon arrival, she texted me a picture of it; she was really happy. This is definitely a tiny knife. The blade in comparison to the handle is quite large, but works well together. It’s a big blade in a small package. Also, the H1 metal quality is decent. The overall quality of the knife is all Spyderco – top notch. Shipping: The shipping with this order was impeccable. I placed an order late Monday evening. I paid $2.99 for First Class Mail Shipping, and the knife arrived today, Thursday. I have no hesitation to order from KnifeCenter.com. The company ships their products quickly. If you opt to receive email communication, they will not overburden you with dozens of useless advertisements; the eblasts they send fundamentally have quality ads worth looking at. Bottom line. This company has its act together, it they keep on the same track, they will be more successful than they are currently.
Great small discreet blade. Can't open it one handed but haven't practiced doing it. Sharp and low maintenance. Love the H1 steel for a no fuss knife. Use it for small cutting tasks. The tags on kids toys and clothes, opening food packaging, cutting tape, etc. A bigger knife would be better if you intend to use it a lot.
I've got lots of pocket knives, but don't always want to carry around a big knife. This little knife can go everywhere with you, and you won't even know you have it until you need it. It's a little knife, but it will do just about anything you need it to do! Great knife-I love it!
Everyday utility use. Nice size and ease of use. Also have a Manbug which I equally like , but more often find myself putting the Ladybug in my pocket. Don't know why except I do think I like the blade shape a little better. Curious as the the difference between VG 10 & H 1 steel. Editor's note: VG10 and H1 are both high-quality stainless steels, but H1 steel is designed for use in marine environments as it is considered by Spyderco to be "rust-proof".
My full time pocket knife. My second H1 Spyderco, snorkeled 4 days in the ocean without cleaning or oiling with the first and that was 1 1/2 years ago with no rust or corrosion. Only 1 problem, this little knife has the biggest ego, it thinks it's the badest ever, and at times I agree.
The Ladybug from Spyderco is an extremely light knife with good cutting abilities. The H! version of this knife is rust proof. This knife is clipless and its designed for keyring carry. The knife is lock back. The blade is just under 2 inches. Light, strong and sharp. In the pocket, it is not noticeable. It is so very light. H1 steel is a nitrogen containing steel with very little carbon. The steel is work hardened so the more one uses it the harder the edge will become. The normal range of RC is 69 to 60. This is a great EDC, useful for opening boxes and letters and those everyday tasks.
Sturdy Spyderco construction in keyring size with awesomely sharp serrated H1 steel teeth and a handle that's hard to miss but not hard to grip... I like.
The ladybug is the best keychain knife availble today IMO. I first got one a few months back and it was the hawkbill version. I just got this H1 version and I love it. The fact that they are using H1 on a keychain knife is just amazing. The only con I have is trying to decide which one to carry for the day.
I carry Ladybug while Free-diving.(salt water wont harm or corrode it.)Blade Lock's & serrated blade VERY sharp. It cuts Great for such a tiny blade.
