Good knife, good price

Good steel and it keeps an edge. It came with a very sharp blade, a nice weight and a slim profile in the pocker. The clip is large enough to be convenient. Good fit and finish. The action of the flipper is stiff, but it will ease a bit with use. I would have liked a nail nick for help in opening the blade

A Stylish EDC.

A slim knife that fits well without taking over all the space in my pocket. The blade finish is complemented by the G10 and stainless handles making this an attractive knife that I use every day for opening packages, envelopes, and trimming a variety of materials from string to leather and fabric. The 14C28N blade takes and holds a nice edge and I like that it is stainless enough to not require frequent maintenance. I use the traditional flipper for opening the blade and am still working on mastering the front flipper option. The wire pocket clip is probably my favorite style - easy to modify from right to left front pocket carry and fits either pocket without being too snug.

Nice Knife

This knife is light weight and so it's easy to carry around clipped on your pants. It also has a solid feel about it. The only criticism I have it that it's difficult to get it to flip open when fully closed. Trying to decide if I should take it apart and lubricate it?

Frame Lock + Top Flipper May Be Awkward To Open

I've started to like top flippers and was excited for the value here. However, this was my first frame lock top flipper. What I didn't realize was that when you hold the closed knife in your right hand, your fingers rest on the frame lock, which pushes into the blade and holds it in place, making it impossible to flip open. Usually, I hold knives near the middle or top of the handle so I'm having to learn to hold it very specific ways, either sort of diagonal in my grip so my fingers are back on the solid side of the frame lock, or with my middle finger way up on the colored G10 bit on the back like I'm trying to do some stretchy guitar moves. I rewatched the video on the product page just before making this review. James has a good technique if you hold the handle low when opening. He curled his middle finger down and rested it on the wire pocket clip. This works great. I might use it that way for a while and see if it loosens up or if I can get used to it, but more likely I'm going to end up giving this away and getting a different top flipper knife with a different lock type.

Love it for the color alone, however it's so much more

Could not have picked a better knife for my everyday carry, I wear a lot of lighter colors so it goes with literally everything, was the primary reason I got it. However, after using it for about a month now, it's literally perfect in every capacity, I will be giving this to my grandkids when they're old enough.

Sharpest out of the box knife I’ve ever purchased and I have several Benchmade knives. Awesome communication too!

Best bang for your buck

I joined the preorder list and this knife was worth the wait. I have this in my EDC rotation and it is one of my favorite knives to carry. It’s light but very sturdy and came shave sharp. SRM has upped their knife game in the past and the Palfrey does not disappoint. I love the hidden flipper that SRM uses on some of their knives. It makes it very easy to open but nothing to hang up in a pocket on a draw. I ordered mine in white and it looks very classy and I get compliments on it frequently.

Beautifully crafted knife

The first thing you notice is the craftsmanship and second, the sharpness of the blade. It’s simple to open and less intuitive to close (no instructions), but I went on YouTube and found the simple answer. Great price for a well made knife.

Great budget knife

Great knife, harder to open than some when you first get it, but once you use it for about 2 weeks the opening mechanism gets easier and is very easy and satisfying.

Very refined, great value

Feels "light" in the pocket, doesn't print and is, for want of a better word, subtle. Sharp and easy to flick open with some practice. Very much digging this knife. Not a daily carry (I am guilty of knife abuse), but I still love it.

Great knife!

I pre ordered this SRM 135 L-GT and have to say it was worth the wait. It feels good in my hand and arrived with a nice edge on the blade. The handle material feels solid and the clip has a nice low profile. All and all I really like this knife and it has become my daily carry.

More quality control please

It looks great and feels sturdy at hand. The action is also great. But it came with a tiny blemish on the handle and the clip bent to the side. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of quality control. I will keep it but I would have been more happier if it came in perfect condition out of the box.

Great value (with one small flaw)

This knife delivers a lot more than you might expect for the price: elegant design, slim profile, high build quality, and excellent ratio of blade length to handle length. The blade steel, although not premium quality, is more than good enough for whatever uses you might have in mind for a gentleman's folder. Better yet, for all us lefties out there, the wire clip is reversible. My one complaint is that it takes a lot of force to activate the back flipper. It takes less effort with the front flipper, but then the flesh at the base of your thumb tends to block the blade. Because the blade has no nail grooves, the flippers are the most practical option. Solution: keep your thumb at the back of the handle, away from the frame lock. On the other hand, as difficult as this knife can be to open, there is little chance of it opening accidentally while it's in your pocket, or, once locked open, closing onto your fingers.
