Short version: this blade was made to work in all outdoor activities. This is one of the best blades I am proud to own. It’s big, beefy, and hits like an axe. If you’re going to camp and don’t want to carry an axe, a knife, and even a small shovel this is the knife for you. I know this steel can rust (as do most), but given its girth I wouldn’t worry too much, especially if you’ve oiled it. That aside this thing was made to work; it cuts, chops, feathers, and whittles even like a champ. Don’t let the intimidating size fool you it is a surprisingly wieldy tool that lends its power to forward chops so that you don’t have to apply any real force. The sloping sheepsfoot style blade also allows for ease of battening without fear of wrecking the tip. I’ve grown fond of the “old world” type steel that is 8750 and the L6 counterparts used by Svord since they are made to take a beating and then ask for more. If you’re looking for a good hard work knife in the outdoors, then this is for you.
