Unique

This knife is becoming one of my favorites, and I have blades worth 10 times more. The wave style notch that opens the knife as you pull it out of your pocket is cool at this price range. I've had similar blade styles before but at $200+ Very sharp and easy to handle and close. Nice lock as well. I wish there was one like this with a partially serrated edge. I like this one though, easy to grab, open, use, and close. Will be buying more of this model.

A Definite Must Buy!

The quality of this knife is commendable especially for the price point. A reliable brand such as S&W plus a quick deployment wave opening, you can’t beat it. The blade is razor blade sharp from factory, it can slash and stab like a tanto blade but for a fraction of the cost. It’s so amazing that it’s a must for any karambit collector/ everyday carry, but so affordable that you can afford to buy multiples and not care if you lost one! A definite must buy!

Love this knife for EDC!

This is my new favorite EDC knife. This blade style is excellent for every day tasks, and I love that it looks different (cool) but still straight enough (meaning not fully curved like a normal Karambit) so it can be practical for EDC. I would have given it 5 stars if not for just a couple gripes. The pocket clip is so tight I have to pull it back with my other hand to even clip it on right now, maybe it will wear in. The only other is the ring is huge, I can fit my thumb through it and still have space. Would have liked to see the ring be just a bit smaller.

Best low budget kerambit knife

To find any kerambit folder that also has the Emerson wave design (or something similar) that allows the blade to open while drawing it from your pocket is rare, unless you want to spend 2-300 bucks. This S&W knife is beyond a great bargain. Sharp blade, spring assisted, no play in the moving parts, great feel in your hand. Get one! Under 40 bucks, can't be beat. The handle is pretty basic, but still grippy. And I'm not huge on the blade design, I'd rather have a curved blade, but still, for the price, no complaints.

Great for the price

Got this as something I can beat on and not feel too bad about. Seems like a tough little knife, blade steel isn't horrible. I think it's spring assisted but the spring on mine is incredibly weak so I'll just take it out. To my surprise you are able to wave the blade open right out of your pocket. Didn't come super sharp but again for the price I had pretty low expectations. Honestly would recommend especially if your looking for something to beat on.

Pros: Ease of Opening
Cons: Handle Feel

Best cost-to-function karambit.

If you want to experiment with karambits, get this one. Not only is it far cheaper than most, the blade shape is more utilitarian. It's one of those knives that uses budget materials to maximum effect by being well-designed. The wave on this knife is excellent. Despite how small it appears, it works consistently and is surprisingly gentle on the fabric of my pants (I usually wear slacks, which many waves tear up). The assist-opening is well tuned. I would have preferred it not be assisted-opening, because I don't like the feeling of the blade "getting away" from me. But this one is so gentle that all it really does is makes absolutely sure there are no partial-deployments out of the pocket. Multiple options for opening: flipper tab, pocket wave (which can be flicked like a thumb stud), and cutout. 2 cons: 1) The safety lock is unnecessary and one more thing to malfunction. I don't use it. 2) I have to tighten the pivot screw once a week. I have not tried threadlock of any kind. 1 sort-of-con: The grip is huge! In my average-ish hand, I can fit two extra fingers (this includes both the ring and the finger-choil). This is only a partial-con, though, because if you'd rather not use the ring, there's room enough on the grip and the ring makes a comfortable pummel.
