My EDC for the past 5 years.

Pros- Cheap/Serrated Edge/Light/Tanto/Doubles as a bottle opener/Great Ergo Cons- Given the amount of bottles I open with the back of this blade, and the fact that I abuse the sh-t out of it (digging, carving, slicing) I find that the bearing starts to give after about a year of HEAVY use. At that point, I just throw it away and order a new one because its $12! I mean, seriously; you couldn't ask for more form an EDC

Great Knife

Perfect knife. It's just the right size for everything from opening boxes to field dressing a deer. The serrated part of the blade is more useful than one may originally think. Last, I like the fact that the knife can be opened AND closed with one hand. R.V.S. - Atlanta, GA

The S&W SPECIAL TACTICAL Flipper

This is the worst knife I have received! The opening of the blade is as far away as possible, you need to drag the blade out. I have been a Smith & Wesson produce user for over 35 years & I feel bad about S&W even having their name on this product.

awful

I intended on using this knife as an edc, but after receiving it and flicking it open, the locking mechanism got stuck in the open position. I had to take a screwdriver and pry it back into place before it would work properly and close. I thought all would be well after that but again, I flicked it open and it got stuck. when you open it without flicking it works properly which leads me to believe that it may be too much force but regardless it's an issue, I've never had a knife do this and I'm very disappointed. If I had known that a knife advertised as a "flipper" knife would fail when you flipped it, I wouldn't have even glanced at it, but after looking for about 45 minutes and finally finding a knife that I thought checked off all the requirements I had (blade length, blade shape, handle length, pocket clip etc etc) and fit into my budget I figured it was a steal. needless to say I will be disposing of this knife and continuing my search.
