great sharpener

I love these stones. I carry several knives with hard blades, CM154, D2, etc. The diamond side of this stone does a good job of getting the edge on the blade, and the ceramic side of the stone puts the scalpel touch. I bought one to try, then bought several: one for each car; one for my bugout bag; one for my briefcase. A good value, a good size, a good tool.

Great size to fit in exterior fixed blades pouches and works excellently.

The stone is quite small, but if used properly it's capable of putting a razor sharp edge on any blade. My only problem with it is it's size making it a little more difficult to use than a larger stone

Good Small Stone

I actually liked this one better than it's bigger brother (4"x1.25") because this one had a better surface out of the box. This is a great little stone to carry around with you. I like having the ceramic side when all I need to do is touch things up a bit.

Works Great, F&F so-so

Pretty substantial mismatch between diamond plate and ceramic slab. I had to lap the ceramic down with another diamond stone because the machining marks would hang on the edge being worked and thwart my sharpening efforts. However, once lapped the ceramic is a great follow up to the now broken-in diamond side. Great for freehanders who are just starting out or need just one stone to carry along practically anywhere.

3" diamond/ceramic stone

Initially, this product worked very well. The diamond side was just aggressive enough, while not too rough, and the ceramic side is perfect for polishing an edge. However, the diamond coating on the brass plate has come loose. There is now a bubble underneath it, right in the center, about 1/3 of the entire length of the stone. Thinking about sending it back.

Diamond stone side is total crap.

This product should be taken out of Fällknivens good name. This is total crap and I will tell you why. You do not need to use the diamond side a lot, before it totally flakes away. The diamond side is like a thin thin surface of color that will not last long. If you gave this 5 star i guarantee you have not used it many times.
