Veggies fall apart
I have had the Blue Whale for three weeks and it makes preparing veggies and slicing meat a breeze. It arrived with a razor edge and has retained that edge. I chos the Fallknven for its edge retention and have not been disappointed with the VG10 steel. My other chef's knife from a well known manufacturer barely stays sharp for a week. I take care not to cut bones or frozen meat with it, in deference to the high Rockwell hardness. Wish I had bought this a long time ago!

it should be blue?
Things that aren't so great about it? Price, but that could be exchange rates. "If you could only have one knife in the kitchen...". It's that sort of knife. Light but not delicate.
The steel is good, the blade is thin for a chef's knife. There is quite a bit of rocker in the blade and it is upswept toward the bolster. I like the finger groove. Overall a good knife.
