Much more than you pay for.....

I wanted a nice knife to add to my bushcraft/camp knife selection and decided on this. It is great!!!! They really do a great job laminating vg10 steel to the blade for a super strong combination. It's convex edge is a little tricky to sharpen but not impossible. You can baton through wood or cut up deer. This blade will do almost all camp chores with ease. Ergonomics are very good for a bush knife---comfortable in the hand---no hot spots. If you look at the steel first when you consider a knife, this is a great choice. Can't go wrong with this Fallkniven offering!! Almost forgot, high quality leather sheath---beautiful work.

I understand now why these convex knives are awesome

I'm surprised how good it is. The whole convex thing now feels like a non issue as the performance of these knives genuinely surprised me. The actual convex angle is far smaller than I expected meaning any sharpening won't be an issue BUT the way it cuts and whittles wood is staggeringly good. What the convex angle does on top of the sharpness and toughness is the way it allows you to control the bite of the blade as it penetrates wood. Generally with really hard woods most knives just bite and get stuck where this allows you to actually twist the handle and change the depth of the angle as it works, meaning timber used for creating feather sticks and other tasks are extremely productive. I think the convex acts as a mini fulcrum to lever against...it's really good Best knife I've had...

one of the best for its size

Got this for my husband for Christmas. He loves it; he has it in his flight bag. He says its one of the best for its size and very well made. The sheath is acceptable for hunting but for SERE, you would need a MOLLE compatible scabbard system. (So he says.) It took awhile to get to us, but was worth it.

Great camp and bush knife! Good weight, perfectly balanced. The zytel leaves something to be desired though.

This knive is offering far more than I was e pectine. High grade qualité steel and design that made it easy to handle.I found the hunting knive that I was looking for since à long time

My best knife

I received this knife as a gift and quickly became my favorite. I carry it daily except for the days I want to take my other knives out of the closet for a change. I do use it every day at work and when needed for chores at home. I sharpen it with a smith ceramic stone to keep that great convex edge.
