Ultimate in Compact Multitools

This key is awesome, while there are much better compact keyring multi tools from Leatherman, none of them are this compact! It is a little tricky to unlock but there's no worry for it opening up accidentally. This makes an excellent gift. I gave some out as Christmas gifts to some coworkers 3 years ago and they still talk about them today.

smart

Nice little tool for opening envelops, boxes, bottle caps, and travelling. It actually looks like a key, and the knife, is very sharp. Stainless steel tool...! The price, though I think is a bit too high.

Cool Tool

Gave as Christmas gifts and both recipients loved it! They use it almost everyday. Only con may be when opened and used as a screwdriver, the blade becomes the handle, requiring extra caution.

Well Made

Quality up to expectations. First rate. Very sharp blade both straight and serrated sections. Only problem with that- you need to grasp the blade to use screwdriver. Eyeglass driver WILL be used as it fits the screws on the Photon2 LED light for battery changes. It'll help tighten up my cheap reading glasses. Everyone should have one of these

A handy little tool to have on your keyring. Also makes a better all-around striker for me to pair up with a small ferro-rod or magnesium firestarter if I need to carry one.

There When You Need It

I've had the UtiliKey for over 4 years and have only used it only maybe 4 or 5 times. It lives in one of the credit card slots in my wallet and is always there if I am RARELY not carrying a larger multi-tool and need to do some kind of moderately light job. It's built well and should last a lifetime if you don't abuse it or expect more of what a key-sized tool is capable of. I stopped carrying it on my key ring years ago, as I have temporarily lost the tool a few times until the last time I found it and I decided to safely stow it in my wallet. I guess the only con I can give the tool is a more secure design to be carried on a key ring, but that does not apply to me because I actually prefer it in my wallet. It's been a great lightweight back-up companion over the years.

Small and handy tool

For the money, you cannot find better little thing to have on your key chain. If you are person just as I am, constantly doing something, cutting, fixing, adjusting, this is what you need. This will always be with you, think of car keys chain. Example, you are all dressed up, going out on fancy dinner, or similar. You leave your Leatherman at home, your EDC by the phone, and there you are, needing to open a coke bottle, help a lady when she needs to cut some yarn that just showed on her fancy dress, cut foil on champagne, loose screw on glasses, any small task that you can't use butter knife on the table for. I have been a small hero with my pocket knife on such occasions (weddings and such) and there is always a damsel in distress that needs a man with tool there, trust me! Now I don't need to have anything in my pocket but the car keys :) Great little tool, quality make, and smart design!

Perfect last resort

I travel. A lot. As such, airline flight is a constant, and the nature of my work requires absolute versatility in what few pieces of equipment that accompany me. It must perform well, pass unhindered through security, whilst still meeting my overall objective. Since I usually never check luggage, all must fit on my person or carry on. Vague, you say? I think you get my point.

A Very Useful Tool

- One remarkable thing is that this is a very nice gift. - This is also a very useful tool to carry with your key ring - so you can use it everywhere. - But, in the other hand, you have to be very careful when you open, otherwise you can cut your fingers with the knife.

A Very convinient and usefull tool

This tool is easily carried on a key ring and is about the same size as the ignition key for my truck. I am an obsessive/compulsive multi-tool user, however in the rare instances when nothing else is in reach, this tool can be very handy. I have had two of these and had to replace it when I lost my original. My only mistake is not ordering one for every member of my family.

Swiss tech- small handy tool

This tool is great because there is no reason not to have it with you at all times. It is smaller and lighter than my car and motorcycle keys, and only a centimeter longer than my house key. It is a little bit difficult to open, but you can rest assured it won't fall off the keychain accidentally. Great price on a tool you never knew you needed.

THIS + A MINI-PLIERS/SCISSORS TOOL & YOU'RE SET!

As a gadget-guy from way back who is now retired due to disability, I've tried multiple small combination tools in the attempt to lighten my portable load while saving as many steps as possible, which are often painful due to severe arthritis. This is far & away the smallest, lightest, & most useful single mini-tool I have ever encountered. The blade edge & sawtooth portion are excellent. Often I have to use it to open that difficult plastic retail packaging, or even a simple letter. I like to give one to each family member & friend, always with the reminder to move it from keychain to checked-in luggage, so as to AVOID CONFISCATION BY AIRPORT SECURITY.

Nice little tool for your keychain

I got my first one from a guy with a knife store. He said his customers kept cutting themselves with it, if I wanted it, it was mine. It looked cool, I did not manage to cut myself with it, so I took it. I used the little screwdrivers numerous times, I got very used to having this thing attached to my keys. Need a lighter adjusted, eye/sunglasses tightened, that coupon from the paper neatly taken safe, so many uses you don't even think about until you need them done. And boy will you be happy to have this one with you. Don't take any space really, and when you decide to leave that heavy multitool home, you still take your keys with you. When I lost mine, I really missed it and had to get another one. I did dremel the sawtooth part of the tool round, and sharpened that little chisel edge to something more useful. The material is not quite suited for sharpening, but works for me, I only sharpened it once, not like I planned to shave with it. PLEASE NOTE: Entering a federal building, or trying to board a plane with this one might not work. That could be one downside on this one, as when you get used to it, you don't remember you have it with you. They will take it from you though.

Neat Little Tool

Useful, well made and cheap to boot. Handy to have on your key fob but for those of us with fat fingers, it can be somewhat challenging to manipulate the tool.

This is a great little tool. The best thing about it is you have it with you at all times. You have to pay attention when using the bottle opener. You have a low grip on the bottle so the blade on the utilikey will not hit your fingers.

all's good as advertised except that

it's made in china and not the US. it could be just me, but i find that it's not that quick or easy to pry open the two sides. it might be a no-no for ladies with long nails strange that the bladed side is high polished, whilst the other part with the screw drivers is matt and seems like a die cast part? it will work it's magic but don't expect to shave.

Clever little tool

Excellent addition to my key ring that I keep on a wrist band. 'have used 3 functions in the 1st week. Very sharp blade. Only issue was it was way to tight to open initially until I tweaked the lock post slightly to allow opening with my fingers.

Not so great...

I have had three of these now. The first one I lost (completely my fault), but the other two broke in exactly the same place; the hook that holds it on the keyring. I LOVE the idea of this tool, it is so handy, but the design needs to be changed a little.

you need a magnifying glass to use this tool. It is very very small. I cant think of one thing I could use it for. It looked a nice size in the picture, but I guess I should of read the fine print to actually see what size. What a waste.
