Does as good of job as my Sysco Steels.

I have a rather large collection of sharpening steels, honestly larger than what most people would need thanks to family members picking them up at yard sales and such. I ordered this one for my son, who has dreams of becoming a chef and I had to give it at least one test run in the kitchen myself. It easily compares to my Sysco Steels, at a fraction of the price.

Easily worth the price you pay for it.

At $3, you normally wouldn't expect such a high-quality product. But this is an exception. As soon as mine arrived I tested it on a few knives I had. Like someone else stated earlier, It's quality isn't the best but it's comparable to a $15-25 sharpener steel. The sharpening edge and handle are conveniently sized. Making it very easy to use. And while the handle material is listed as "plastic", it actually feels like rubberized (is that a word?) plastic. I've found it to be very user-friendly, comfortable, durable, and budget-friendly. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a sharpening steel. The only person I would not recommend this product to would be a professional chef who has hundreds of knives and hones them all to complete perfection. But if you're just looking for something to use in your personal kitchen, this is for you.

I really haven't used it much, but it's comparable to the more expensive ones. I thought it would have been of lesser quality but it's just as good as a $15-$30 sharpener.

Terrific bang for the buck. Works as well as sharpening steels costing much more. Buy two. That will still cost less than many other steels that aren't any better.
