Convenient non-lethal self protection

An Expandable Baton was my choice for non-lethal self protection. Very convenient for when you are walking in the neighborhood or after hours/night closings of your business.

Steel Baton

This baton is well made and excelent for the price. I liked it so much I gave it to my daughter for her concealed carry needs(it is considered a concealed weapon in Florida). I'm ordering another one today for myself (maybe another for my other daughter)...

Does the job

Well, it works for its purpose. Since it is made out of heavy steel, it has a bit more "thwack" than the airweight models. My biggest problem would be the holster that comes with it. The rubber grip provides awesome grip, but it catches in the holster, making it nearly useless in a combat situation. I also had problems with it opening and closing, but a little oil run down inside the cylinders helped out a lot.
