Darn Good Stuff
I bought this product to use when I shave because I use the "old school" method. I use a Merkur Futur razor, Astra razor blades, a badger-hair (silver tip) shaving brush, and a custom-made mug. I needed a soap or cream that would generate a rich lather and that would stay lathered on my face during the entire shave. This cream fits the bill. Although the cream seems expensive, a little goes a long way. I suspect one container will last me at least 8 months, probably more. The cream smells great, but it's not too strong. It's not overpowering like some other creams/soaps I've tried in the past. The sensitive skin formula is also non-irritating, and I've noticed that my skin is calmer since I've been using it. Likewise, it doesn't leave a heavy residue on my brush or razor, so both are easy to clean after I'm done shaving. I've been trying different specialty creams for the last five years, and this one is definitely one of the best I've tried. For the value, it's close to the very top. To get the full benefit from this cream, you should invest in a quality razor, blades, and brush. The best thing to do to find the perfect blade is to try samples first; you'll be glad you did.
