Think twice before buying this one.

I bought this knife basically due to memories I have of seeing it around when I was a kid. Recently, I just started seeing it, as well as other tekna knives, appear again. The price was right, so I pulled the pin on this one. The knife is cool, if you are thinking 80's technology. hese bad boys were popular, back when out of my reach. The down side? The lock does not function. At all. The blade will slide shut if any attempt is made to stab with it. It can slice, if you are careful, but any pressure at all on the tip will close it. I found this a bit disappointing, as I was planning on carrying it in my jacket pocket. It is now just a desk toy. I am keeping it, simply because it is not worth the shipping cost and aggravation to return it.
