What can I say? this is a nicely made paddle strop. For those of you new to shaving, note that you should really start with a regular leather strop, which is more 'mainstream'. Though if you're like me, and curious about alternatives, then this is a good one to get, in particular if you own a Thiers-Issard razor, since they seem to encourage the use of paddle strops. I'm not a big fan of strop dressings, but the rough side of this strop is obviously designed to work with the Thiers Issard white strop paste. You don't have to (and probably shouldn't) put anything on the smooth leather side - just rub it with the palm of your hand. That's all it needs.
