Best Combat Knife EVER!

I spent 14 total years in the Infantry and Rangers, and this is the knife I would go to war with! Solid, durable and the finish is like bed liner for your truck. Sorry ladies...this is a mans's knife for sure!

Real Steel

Not only a weapon. This is a serious utility tool. Tops says don't but 1095 blade is a pry tool, axe or hammer. You,can hammer the blade into a tree and use it for a step. The saw back will saw. Found that if I alternate and tip blade left then right during strokes there is less binding when you get deeper into wood cuts. Also a great bone saw to reduce large P game to manageable carry sizes. Out of he box the edge is extremely sharp. I will be using one of my felt inserts for the sheath that I can keep oiled to be sure the blade is recoated as it it sheathed. The handle is likely the best I've felt. Grip fit is awesome even with larg hands. I'm not a fan of nylon but the sheath is as good as they get. Double Velcro straps are required but are a bit to deal with every time you sheath the knife. If you don't pull them out of the way the blade wilI cut through them. I will try a kydex sheath to see if it's a better option than the nylon.

Awesome knife, Go USA!

I wish I purchased Tops knive sooner and will be replacing my Chinese knives with Tops. Know before you purchase a 1095 blade that you need to keep it oiled. Oxygen is the enemy of the extremely sharp edge. Expect sharpening to be more difficult but the reward is that it will hold its edge and is much harder than SS. The saw back is the best I've used. As nylon sheaths go, excellent quality. Although inherent with nylon, I will be removing the Velcro retaining straps on the sheath as I find them inefficient, time consuming and a pain to deal with when removing or sheathing the knife. I'll be replacing the Velcro with a kydex component/insert of some sort that will capture the blade as kydex does. Never seen this done with a nylon sheath but I need to try it.
