Great knife, terrible sheath.
The knife itself is pretty good, very good, actually but only in terms of the blade: it is exceptionally sharp, well-finished, doesn't look like something that was made completely by hand. Furthermore, if sharpened properly, despite the cheapness of the scales it will serve you for a very long time, holding its edge well because TOPS seem to temper their knives well. The scales, on the other hand, are a different story... They feel cheap, roughly finished and don't reflect the asking price of the knife, TOPS should have used wood instead of this plastic... Yeah, whatever you call this thing it feels and looks like plastic, therefore, it's PLASTIC. The sheath, however, is just horrible. I have nothing nice to say about it, i detest it and can't believe that such an expensive knife doesn't come with a better sheath. Ka-bar charges the same or less for their s35v knives but includes a leather sheath. Including no sheath would probably be better in this case, honestly, I can't believe they included this plasticky trash with this glorious knife. It's not a $30 random piece of metal from Sears, it's a custom-made knife that uses high-end steel for enthusiasts, this sheath is an equivalent of a spit in the face, at least to me.
