Great blade, bad handles, horrid sheath
The blade itself is well-finished, very sharp out of the box, to the point where no touch-ups are needed and I couldn't be happier with the way it feels in my hand, these guys bypassed a common knife maker's error of making the blade way too thick and heavy, hoping it would give the knife a pseudo-premium feel but also made it thick enough so there is no play, no bending and there is a feel of a pleasant heft to it. My problem isn't with the knife itself but rather with the handles and the sheath: they are VERY baldy made. There are multiple visible indentations and other visible imperfections on the handles, moreover, two out of six screws seem to have been stripped. I wanted to take them off to get the imperfections out and only did so with great difficulty. Last but not least the sheath: it's cheap and, for a $250 knife, is just plain wrong! They could have used cheap leather or nylon but went with an even cheaper (and worse) plastic Kydex sheathing and, for a product made in the USA for this much money, out of premium steel, it's really not an ideal solution. Other than that this is an excellent knife with many good properties, just wish they paid more attention when they made it, that's all.
